I recently stayed at Bella Vista Resort in Zanzibar and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the view of the beach was breathtaking, and the food was delicious. The large pool was a great spot to relax. However, there were some downsides. The service was quite slow, and I found the owner's approach to selling excursions a bit uncomfortable. The smaller pool was also not well-maintained, as it was green during my visit. Additionally, a 5% credit card fee was unexpected and inconvenient. Furthermore, the lack of fresh fish and issues with air-conditioning and electricity in the room were disappointing. These issues did affect the overall comfort of my stay. In summary, Bella Vista Resort has its pros, such as the stunning view and good food, but there are definitely areas that need improvement, including service and facility maintenance.

Our best experience on Zanzibar. Very secluded, private and luxurious resort. Great food, pool and beautiful beach. + you can go by boat to Dar es salaam in 1 hour. Only negative was AC worked poorly since the electricity capacity is low in south of Zanzibar. They try to fix it.

I made a reservation here a month ago. But the room was not ready. Moreover, the door to the hastily prepared room was not locked. The staff took me to a smaller, dirtier room and insisted it was the same price. Even the bathroom there was broken. They didn't even apologize, but rather kept whispering among themselves. It was a very unpleasant experience. There I was bitten by numerous ticks. And restaurants are also incredibly expensive. The owner there is friendly at first, but if you ask for something his attitude changes. It was the most unpleasant experience of my life. They ruined my trip.
