Very welcoming staff, gave us fresh fruit juice on arrival. Room is basic but very clean, AC, and a small fridge. Each room as a small terrace with outdoor seating. Breakfast was great; fresh fruit, fresh juice, cake, cheese, and an egg either fried or as an omelette. I thought this was great value for money in comparison to other places on the island; the location is great as it’s pretty much equidistant to everywhere. Every other accommodation option looked the same but came at a higher price without breakfast. Reliable wifi for no additional cost. Able to rent bikes from the accommodation. 150 rupees per day which is more expensive than stands by the marina. However, the bikes are great quality and we found ourselves easily overtaking others on the road due to great gears and working brakes. I don’t understand the bad reviews. Yeah, it’s basic, but unless you’re going to a resort hotel on the island, I think basic is what you’re going to get.

We enjoyed staying here. Good breakfast, nice service. Rooms are older and the aircon noicy. We rented bikes and travelled arround La Dique on them. Easy and safe.

I stayed at Bernique from Sep 4 to Sep 9. The location is perfect between the road to go to Grande Anse and Source d’Argent. Very nice room, huge, with everything inside! Good TV and WiFi connection! Room was always clean so thank you so much ! The staff was also very kind and helpful! They care about you and they are really willing to help you! Thank you again for the bike! It brought me to places I’ve never imagined! Breakfast was excellent and homemade. I really appreciated the homemade cakes, donuts or waffles every morning :) 10/10 for the banana cake, I will never forget it :p Thank you again for your kindness!

This is the most peaceful place in the world, almost in the jungle where you can heard the birds any time. Also it’s perfect located, close to everything and even if it looks humble it’s always very clean and tidy. Sylvania was the perfect host!help us with anything we need and gave us some amazing recommendations, always with and smile in the face. Moreover she served us an amazing breakfast every morning to start the day in the best way. Totally recommended!
