The area and the hotel building are visually stunning. The service we received was great and couldn't be faulted. Breakfast is served buffet style and the options were plentiful. The lounge and bar areas were tastefully decorated respecting the age of the building however the rooms could do with modernising. Finally it is worth noting that due to it's location there is the need to travel to find restaurants or shops as there are none nearby.

This was our first visit to a lovely hotel which is full of character in a very scenic location. The staff were extremely friendly, polite and helpful, the room we had was large and well equipped, and we loved the food and drink options in the bar and restaurants. There was plenty of on-site parking which was also free. We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and we are planning to stay here again in future

Very poor customer service, staff speaking foreign language in front of the guests, which is apparently approved by their manager - who said: staff are free ti speak in their own language as long as they speak in English to the guests.🤣 That's so unprofessional and rude, leaving guests feeling excluded. No staff at the bar, we had to keep calling staff to order something from the bar. I won't return there for sure, it's a shame because it's very lovely place and breakfast was good.

Stayed for a weekend with family and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were all polite, friendly and very helpful. Restaurant food was very good. The room was fine with fabulous views both ways down the valley. The pillows were a tad hard but the bed very comfy. My biggest fear was that the wedding on Saturday night might ruin our stay but the disco ended at 11:30pm and I never heard a peep after that. Maybe we just got lucky with well behaved wedding guests but it was the quietest wedding venue I've stayed in. Have to say this bit again but the highlight were the staff who were amazing and their employers should be very proud of them.

The place is dated and needs freshening up but it’s not too bad of a place to stay. The staff were nice for the most part and the food was okay but you don’t get bang for your buck. Drinks are fairly priced and the bar area is quite good. The room was alright, pretty standard. Although the place is old there were no issues with noise or drafts coming into the room. The shower was a bit hard to get a consistent temperature due to the style of mixer tap. The area that the hotel is in is amazing, nice views however, not at the fault of the hotel, there isn’t anything nearby in terms of shops and restaurants meaning you have to eat at the hotel. Driving around the area is alright if you’re comfortable with tight roads. Overall I’d say this place is okay if you’re just needing to stay somewhere for a couple nights. I’d stay again if I was working in the area.
