My partner and I have stayed here no less than 4 times. And for the cost, the location, and what you get are excellent. The staff has always been incredibly friendly and responsive. The parking is so convenient. There's a lot to do around the hotel, and we've always felt safe in the area even late at night. Of course, it isn't a fancy place, but the rooms have always been clean, and everything was in working order. I'm not sure of his name, but I'd love to thank the front desk employee working on Saturday, December 16th in the daytime for accommodating the fact that we missed our first night due to a highway closure. We will stay here again and have recommended the hotel to friends. We've never tried using any of the amenities, so we have no comment on that. We would give it a 5/5 - but the rooms are a bit dated, but i believe under construction. But for the cost and what you get we absolutely think it's a great place to stay!

Don’t expect too much from the rooms - they are quite dated. However, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was serviceable. The heaters were terribly noisy and light sleepers will struggle. It was great to have a good range of options in the included breakfast. It is a short walk to the tram and buses are nearby. However, major attractions are a bit further away and require transport. Service was pleasant.

Overall our stay was okay but this hotel has some work to do if I were stay again. The location is excellent with proximity to some really great dining spots. The staff were friendly, the lobby inviting and the breakfast more than satisfactory. At the time of our stay there was a functional sauna but no gym or hot tub/spa which was a downer but it was the condition of our room that really disturbed me. Our bed linens had some serious stains that were quite disgusting and which I didn't discover until the next day when making the bed and I pulled back the top sheet. Housekeeping should have caught this. When we showed the front desk the pictures we asked that the General manager contact us. It's been 3 days since staying there (I waited before posting this review... A proper and timely followup may have changed my review...) This never happened so I can only imagine that staff either determined our concern was not worth passing on or the General Manager couldn't be bothered with following up. Either way this is not good customer service. Likely won't stay here again... Which is too bad because with a bit more attention this hotel could better improve it's image.

Checked in, and we were told that the water would be off for 6 hours. We were also told not to stop on floors 12-16 because of renovations. Come 9am, and they started hammer drilling concrete. We stayed on the 4th floor, and it felt as if they were drilling right above us. I called the front desk and complained and I was told that according to the city of Calgary it's exceptable to start construction work at 9 am. If check out is 11 and check in is 3 pm, why wouldn't the hotel do the bulk renovations during these hours to avoid bothering their guests!! Unacceptable and a horrible experience. There's tons of hotels downtown. Stay clear of the Best Western if you want a relaxing, peaceful stay.
