I asked for a quiet room upon arrival. They put us in 251 upstairs almost above the office. It was quiet. It’s a double queen room. The heater, shower pressure and cleanliness were all fine. Yes this hotel is dated and not the best in the area, but if you can look past that you’ll be happy to save some $$$. Good luck on your adventure to Big Pines Mountain House!

The first room they put us in was freezing, heater didn’t kick on. Lights didn’t work. Blinds wouldn’t close. Beds were almost on the floor. When we called the front desk the guy did come to the room immediately. When he couldn’t close the blinds he put us in a very much updated room. But…toilet seat is falling off, fridge isn’t cold, trash under the beds, food under the dresser, beds are rock hard. Only way someone would be okay staying here is if they were drunk and needed to sleep it off.

This room smelled like dirty feet or sweaty gym socks when the heater was on. With it off, it was bad but tolerable. We switched rooms because of it and the other room was the same. We had 3 rooms in total and all the rooms smelled the same. The water pressure in the second room bathroom sink was a dribble. Barely any pressure. Toilet seat was too small for the toilet and toilet was low to the ground. My kids and wife both experience bites of some sort and not sure what they were. It wasn’t bed bugs but something bite them. The location and price of the hotel was great and that is why I gave it an overall 2 star review. If you are looking for a place that is conveniently located to stateline and heavenly; this is a good place.

This is great place to stay if you're a simple traveler and looking for a good deal. The place is clean, in a good area close to a lot of shops and main attractions, and they allow pets! We got there a little early and they were nice enough to allow for us to check in early. One of the people in the group lost the key card and the front desk assisted us with no problem. We were very comfortable here and would come back.

The Worst experience! The hot water supply was extremely limited, lasting only a few minutes before reverting to cold water. The bedsheets were visibly soiled, and the towels exuded an unpleasant odor. They wouldn't even offer tissue box or napkins even after calling front desk.. The television was unresponsive to remote commands. Despite informing the front desk about the malfunctioning television, no technician was sent to address the issue. To add to the discomfort, the noise from the upper floors was clearly audible, making it difficult to relax or sleep. The lack of basic amenities, the uncleanliness of the room, and the disruptive noise levels made for an unpleasant and unsatisfying experience and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
