Blu Monkey is a good budget hotel to stay in Phi Phi. The location is a bit further in but still close to restaurants and cafes. A 7-11 very close also. The rooms are clean and well presented. The bed and pillows are super comfortable. There is free, cold, safe drinking water on every level to fill up water bottles. The service was great and rooms cleaned daily. Only downside was the bathroom. Paint peeling off the wall and old bathmats that are fraying. (The sand in the pictures are from us not the hotel). However it’s still functional and didn’t cause an issue. There is a construction site right next to it but could not hear anything from our room. Would stay here again!

Don’t be fooled by the pictures on their website. Restrooms need to be fixed, water leaks everywhere and they won’t even fix it for you and on top of that the sink is broken. After showering we used the hotel towels to somehow clean the mess from the water leaking from the shower and the receptionist refused to give us new towels… I guess location is good because you cannot hear the noise from outside. And on top of everything the WiFi is super unstable.

A minimalist hotel with basic facilities. Clean and maintained. Hotel lacks lift service for luggage. Do not expect any service for luggage from hotel staff. We need to carry ourselves. Anyways best for price.

A great place to stay in Phi Phi. It’s close to the downtown area but far from all the party noises. It’s about 10 minutes walk from the pier. But we wouldn’t notice the distance since we are walking through the vibrant and busy market. The receptionist is exceptionally friendly and helpful. We asked for a quiet room when booking. On our first night, she informed me that we might hear a few noises since there is a big group of guests, and we barely hear their voices. But we really appreciate her consideration. And she recommends a few areas for us to visit. If you rent a beach towel, you can also get it for the next day for free. How convenient! They use the reusable water bottle which is our liking. There is no lift which is already mentioned in its description. Please also support the grocery store next to the hotel. They are kind and friendly too. But please DON’T TRY vitamin C drink (anywhere in Thailand). We got sick the next day.
