This station is well maintained and is as easy as it can be to get around in. As with many Italian train stations, their solution to providing amenities especially for restrooms is less than stellar. The bathrooms on level one near the center were closed. And the other one was nowhere to be found. And yet again signage is very rare. The gentleman in the booth in the main hall directed me to the Pizzeria down the NW left end of the station. If you go in there to the back left, up the stairs straight ahead to the back left corner of the loft seating, you will see a free restroom. This is probably the best kept secret...but the secrets out. Finding restrooms in Italy can be a challenge, as if paying for them wasn't bad enough. Overall a newer looking station. It should be easy to make a connection here.

Well maintained with great signage on the floor and off the floor. We came in from Rome on a fast train and wanted to catch another going to Ancona and had no difficulty getting in and out. Fortunately, was not crowded and we had planned on 50 minutes between trains, just o be sure as we had 2 heavy 20 kg strollys and 7 kg backpacks. As we got out of our train from Rome, the display boards helped us locate platform and we had to go up to catch our next train. Just to make sure, we took help of the manned help desk, which was another added consolation, talking a human! We could catch our train onward, the platform boards were well organized and we placed ourselves on the platform where our compartment came bang on, all our trains were on time. The station was clean and up to expected standards of Europe, the whole experience was smooth. Inside the reserved compartment too, things were organized, lots of space for luggage and information on the display inside accurate. There were working charging ports for mobile, the bathrooms clean and bins for waste disposal. Snacks were given and the train did reach 247 kmph without drama, as per the display😄😄 Overall the train system works like a well oiled machine and left a very positive impression for someone traveling all over.

"An essential yet somewhat intricate station for accessing trains that connect all of Italy. It becomes straightforward once you're on the platforms, but navigating underneath can be quite challenging. I've utilized this station multiple times during my last two visits to Italy, and I'm reasonably content with the experience. English speakers are a rarity among the station's personnel."
