Great location, the room was nice, staff friendly. The only things I'd improve were breakfast and perhaps giving us a room without stairs (we stayed with a 1.5 year old child and it was a bit dangerous to have stairs in the room for a toddler). On New Years Eve the staff also left a very pleasant gift in the room (photo).

Where do I start? My stay was a nightmare, I've never seen such an unprofessional manager. First of all, the sink was blocked and smelled like a sewer. A maintenance person came and unblocked the sink, but the smell remained throughout my stay, and the manager told me that there was work going on in the street and that there was nothing he could do. Secondly, the breakfast, make sure that the products are fresh, the turkey had a bad smell, and a disgusting taste, when I sent a message to reception, I was told that the breakfast was well prepared, basically that I was a liar, this establishment will never question itself apparently. In the end, the manager admitted that the turkey was a bit limited. As I have a sensitive stomach, of course I was sick. I reported all these problems to Booking, the manager told me we'd refund you, you'd have to leave, as you weren't happy with our service. Leaving and having to find another hotel at the last minute when I had booked my accommodation well in advance was out of the question. I won't mention the mould in the shower, the photos speak for themselves. When it was time to leave and I asked for compensation, to be reimbursed for half of my reservation, of course the manager didn't want to know anything and told me that I had shown him a lack of respect, but this was in no way the case. I think the manager needs to take a customer service course, because this attitude is unacceptable. I stayed during 3 nights , nobody came to clean 1 time the room and change the towel. I wonder how this establishment can have so many good reviews. To be avoided at all costs

We had a really nice stay in one of the hostemplo apartments (booked on Airbnb.) Having our own kitchen meant that we didn’t have to eat out for every meal (especially nice for breakfast) and the location was close enough to Segrada Familia to be convenient but far enough away to not feel quite as touristy. I was especially thankful that we were able to check in a little early, and appreciated the help with storing luggage and booking a taxi on our last day.
