Brand New Apt In Heart Of Florence

These are very basic rooms located in a great central area of Florence, just a quick walk from the Duomo. It's right in the middle of all the action, a great spot to stay while exploring the old heart of Florence. Of course this means there is a lot of noise, but we found the street sounds charming and fun, and most of the time we were out exploring too, so this was not an issue for us. The apartment itself could use a little renovating, but again, we weren't staying there to hang out in the apartment. The only slight problems we had were that some of the outlets didn't work, and there wasn't any hot water in the morning -- which sucked after a long night of dancing. It's also in a pedestrian only zone, so you have to park your car in a garage and walk over to the apartment. Thankfully our hosts sent a valet to come get our car for us! They were very understanding of how confusing it can be to try to drive into the city. Check-in was quick and easy, just be prepared to give them your ID (just like in a regular hotel) and pay the city hospitality tax. Our host left lots of snacks and a bottle of spumante for us, a nice treat after our drive. Overall it was perfect for our needs: a central spot that we could easily find while exploring the city, and plenty of beds to crash in after a late night out. If you're looking for a more posh or traditional old Italia space, try elsewhere. This spot is all about location, location, location!
