Great location and price, with friendly staff and a fantastic breakfast. We stayed in a standard room, so not in one of the 'rockets' on the roof. There is no wardrobe in the room, but plenty of wall mounted coat hangers and some cupboard space. The shower is small but perfectly manageable. The double glazing and window shutters ensured we heard very little noise from what is a very lively area of the city. Brooks is located approx two thirds of the way down on the right hand side of Exchange Avenue off Corn Street. It's literally right next door to the St Nicholas Market, and a maximum five minute walk from Bristol Hippodrome. Whilst breakfast isn't included in the room price, a continental breakfast costs £6.50 and a continental and full breakfast £13. Breakfasts are cooked in an open kitchen in the dining area. Great value and very tasty.

Made very welcome and the room a nice use of space and was clean. Excellent breakfast, I had the eggs and bacon with sourdough, it was very fresh as cooked to order rather than a tray to pick from. Its in the centre of town and I found that was perfect for us.

Amazing friendly staff. Both that we met on our stay were happy and friendly. The breakfast room and courtyard, were clean and spacious. The bedroom was small, but adequate and nicely decorated. The bathroom was ok, but the shower needs a proper clean with black mould on the sealant and limescale build up on the bottom of the glass. There was also a limescale build up in the overflow of the sink. The location of the guest house is in the middle of St Nicholas market surrounded by vibrant city life.

We enjoyed a very nice stay at Brooks Guesthouse. It is located in the centre of Bristol and right next to St Nicholas Market. The perfect place to base yourself for a city stay. The room was small but was clean and comfortable and had everything you would expect. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. We did not have breakfast but it looked lovely as we passed and were tempted. I see a lot of reviews mentioning the late night noise. We did not find this a problem. It is a city centre hotel in an area with different bars and clubs. If you are after a long day exploring Bristol you won't have an issue finding sleep! Thanks all at Brooks Guesthouse.
