The short story: NEVER BOOK THIS "HOTEL". The entrance, customer service (or lack thereof), the area, and above all, the noise from the two nightclubs located beneath the "hotel" (I have a video of the noise, if you want to hear), all contribute to rendering this place uninhabitable. Despite being instructed to write to the hotel's email for a refund, they fail to respond. The long story: We checked in on Friday, quickly realising that we are at the less desirable part of the Ramblas. We struggle to find the entrance to the "hotel", as there is no signage, and the only way we locate the entrance is by seeing the name on a door intercom. The stairwell is HORRIFIC, it reeks of urine and appears as though it hasn't seen renovations in 70 years. The receptionist is truly kind (the only positive of this place) and guides us into our room, where we lay on what is supposed to be beds. We venture out for dinner and return home, promptly sensing that a good night's sleep should not be anticipated. The music grows louder with each passing hour, tempting one to yell out of the window requesting a Pitbull track. Despite closing all doors and windows, sleep proved impossible as the music blasted loudly, and people were shouting and smoking on the streets until 6am. Consequently, we hastily decide to check out again on Saturday. The receptionist instructs us to write to their email for a refund, which they would deal with the following Monday or Tuesday. However, despite sending them an email the day after, and twice personally visiting the reception to follow up on my refund request (which I was even willing to compromise on, not expecting a refund for all our nights), I am yet to receive a response. I will likely never see that money again, but I hope, at the very least, my experience will deter potential guests from choosing this "hotel", saving their stay in the otherwise delightful Barcelona from being spoiled.

We had a great stay at BYPILLOW our room was small but very clean ,reception was excellent gave us great advice from best places to visit to best places to eat .Everything in our room was cleaned and replenished every day would definitely stay here again.

Reserved through booking, they canceled a night before stating they can't charge any of the cards I provided. I never had any issues with the cards reserving in other hotels. Prices went way up after the cancelation. Looks like a fraud to me.

Our room was really nice and very clean overall a nice hotel. Outside is noisy at night however this is not the fault of the hotel at all, to have a central location you should expect noise. 2 problems: one day we had room service and came back after a long day and our door was left open? Entrance to hotel, we saw a cockroach in the entrance nearly every day, also one day the stairs smelt very bad and were soaking wet. The staff are pleasant.

0 star review. Booked a room for a same night stay through their website, never got to stay at the hotel because there was no receptionist and the “late night guard” had no way of letting us into the building because he did not have a code. Imagine if there was an emergency and there was no staff with access into the building? To make matters worse (after wandering the city looking for a place to sleep…), when I came back to the hotel to get a refund for the room I never got to stay in, the hotel representative Augustina spent 10+ minutes of my time interrupting and talking over me to tell me it was my fault that they had no receptionist or staff to let me into the “room they had locked and ready for my stay”…..absolutely insane. It’s also insane that at 12pm there no receptionist staffed in the building either…. Save yourself the trouble and stay at Hotel Cuatro Naciones down the road - pleasant staff, clean rooms, free delicious breakfast, and best of all- they have a receptionist that will let you into the building.
