Recommended by friend when visiting Venice to try their mozzarella in carrozza so I came to try. Rosticceria Gislon seems to have two parts one is the food with less queue and the deep fried stuffs that is so crowded. In terms of mozzarella in carrozza or deep fried sandwich it’s very cheap around 2 euro and they have anchovies or ‘ham’. I think it’s good snacks with savoury - little oily- and flavorful. It can be lightly full. They also have other products like seafood deep fried which is not bad at all. I recommend you not visit them in a peak time as the queue can be long and unorganized. Still their sandwich is worth for savvy tourist.

This place sells snacks aka fried dough fritters (tastes similar to the Asian dough fritters), but with an Italian twist as it's made with bread. We tried a few variations, including the acclaimed fried mozzarella with anchovies. All the snacks tasted really good, and it's rare to see such snacks while roaming around Venice. If you are around the area, give the snacks a try. Apparently, the main dishes such as pastas are also good, but we didn't have the stomach to try those. The ratings are for the fried snacks only, and they are recommended!

- Fried seafood pasta: It was premade, and heated before serving. A generous portion, flavorful. - Fresh fish with potatos: The portion is not very generous but the taste was good. - Spritz: 3€ for campari spritz. I was impressed, very good quality/prize. - Wine: 3€ by class, very good quality/prize. - It is very crowded, you may have a hard time finding place to see.
