Nice property, but the location is a little odd. It's not easy to find if it's your first time. Breakfast is OK, the hotel is fine if you wish to reach the tourist spots quickly. If you have a pyramid view room, it is really a nice scene in the morning.

We had a great view to the pyramids from our room and the staff is polite and friendly. Food is ok. The pool is very nice if you come during warmer seasons (We came in January, it was warm under the sun, but not enough to go for a swim)

This hotel was introduced to us as 5* star hotel. It is not clear what criteria may have lead to this qualification! - In a nutshell, if you look for a luxury hotel in Cairo, don’t stop here! Impressive is already the very unfriendly team at the reception, when you arrive. A ‘friendliness’ which maintains. Then, the obvious age of the place goes along with problems of very old room card readers. Accordingly, and depending on your room location, it is helpful to bring a bicycle to go back and forth to the reception to refresh your card to be able to enter your room again. As we entered our first room, we were welcomed by a stinky smell. The bathroom at room 1 was very old/used. The bathroom at our room 2 wasn’t much better. Bedlinen was very old, partly dirty. Breakfast was so so. The hotel is located in the middle of nowhere. If you plan visiting various tourist attractions in & around Cairo, look for another place. Otherwise, you would be forced to cross the whole city multiple times a day… Although the management tried to satisfy us with a ‘new’ room, with view to the pyramids, we left after one night. Despite our room was prepaid for a couple of nights and non-refundable! You may consider our stay a bad exception. I have doubts! Our neighbours at the first room had technical problems they tried to fix over their travel agency as the hotel seemed not to be able to solve them……..

This was a clean and nice hotel. Two pools, large buffet area, friendly and mostly-English-speaking staff, and live music some nights were the highlights. Not much to say otherwise. Coming from American hotels, I would say this place would not be out of place in the states. I felt comfortable here. Oh, and I can't forget to mention that the front door is within view of the pyramids!
