Campanile Vienna South

Essential, functional and clean. A wonderful experience. The room was on the tenth floor so we could also enjoy a view! The room and the bathroom were clean and the right size to store bags with a little bit extra space. The atmosphere was quiet, and breakfast (13€ per person) was very rich, both Continental and English breakfast. The hotel is not in the city centre, but you can easily reach it by Tram n. 1 (Windtenstraße, every 9 min) then walk 9 min south.

This hotel is infested with bugs and is untidy. The location is quite convenient and that was the reason we decided to stay here as a group. But after checking in as a group, we saw that the rooms feel a lot smaller than the size mentioned and moreover, there is nothing in the room to sit on or a working desk. All you got is a bed and the bathroom. The bathroom is also quite small and you almost can't open the shower door fully, it will hit something else. And if you open it inside, it will be hard for you to go in and then close it. Overall, a very badly designed space in the bathroom and the bedroom. On higher floors, you get a very weak Internet connection and it is very very spotty. You will get a weak and nonworking signal almost everywhere in the room. We didn't have any local plans and we were closely relying on the Internet to communicate within our group and we couldn't thereby leading to zero coordination electronically and with a big group like ours, it becomes a big issue when you plan to explore the city together. They don't have any vegetarian options for breakfast, so for vegetarians, sorry, you will have to survive on milk and cereal only. Now, about the service: the management here is quite ignorant of any complaints or issues you raise to them. I was surprised that they were not even ready to listen to our issues and kept on defending themselves. On bugs, they said that someone might have left the windows open. On Internet they said that everyone else is able to connect so we can't understand why you are not able to connect. On food options, they said that these are our standard options. So basically, they conveniently ignored every issue we raised and retorted as if we were all lying. Overall, our experience was very negative and we won't recommend this for any international travelers planning to stay in Vienna. This is not worth the price you pay at this hotel, or rather shall I say, more like a hostel. My advice is to book an international and reputed brand hotel (you might get them even less costly than this hotel).
