Camping Village Roma Capitol

All things considered for us it wasn’t the place to be! Service are quite weak! For transport they only offer a shuttle service which is quite expensive and for certain time are fully booked already for what the offer. Once if you have reached the train station it is simple to reach the city center of Rome. Unfortunately for some reason they have put us in the last corner of the camping place which means it was quite a walk to the restaurant and service point. For families with small kids it must be a good place because of the nice pool area. For us there is definitely other camping places of interest.

Had a great trip here with the wife for her 30th birthday. We stayed in late September and it was very quite. You can see from the infrastructure it will get very busy during the summer / holiday periods. The rooms are basic but functional and has everything you will need for a great stay. Ultimately it is not a hotel and you are on a glorified campsite, so we were really happy with the back to basics simple lifestyle. The pools here are unbelievable. We had them nearly to ourselves but this wont be the case all year round. Having stayed all over the place in many hotels I can say the pool facilities are the cleanest and biggest I have seen. They cater for everyone with a large pool for swimming, a social pool with two spa areas and a kids pool with great splash area. We didn't take the kids this time but will be returning with them as the play park was one of the best we have seen, to the point we wanted a go. Best advice as a foreign traveller would be to hire a car as it is a distance from the main airports. And up to 1hr from the main sites of Rome. Its a nice drive and not to intense. To summarise. Get a car and your ten minutes from the beach and some lovely Italian towns. Thirty minutes from Rome and all its sites. And when your back, you get to spend your time out the hustle and bustle in great facility's.
