Capo Verde Hotel Batumi

We stayed 5 nights in a junior suit room with "balcony". The room has one bedroom and one living room with sofa. Pros: new hotel, comfortable beds, good shower, slippers and robes. There is also safe in the closet. Water bottles are provided every day. Cleaning is done every day. At the reception you can get towels for the pool and the beach. The hotel is really close to the beach and botanical garden. Tickets for botanical garden are also provided for one time entrance for free. You can have bus card for free as well - line 10 to the city. But you have to wait for the bus like 40 min in the summer heat because of the constant traffic jam to/from the city. The hotel is surrounded by greenery, in a quiet place. Yes , there is a train near by but it didn't disturb us. The beach is clean, you can get sunbed for 5 gel and sun umbrella for 5-15 gel (depends on its size). The hotel says they have discounts for beach sunbeds, but it's not quite true. There were live music nights with saxophonist during the weekend, no moovies on the roof though. Cons: the room was ordered for 3 guests, but the towels were only for 2 . I had to ask 3! times for additional set of towels. It was provided eventually, but it was annoying. Same for additional linen and toiletries. There is NO actual balcony. You can barely put your feet in so called balcony. The air conditioner is ONLY in a living room, bedroom has NO air conditioner. Restaurant is not airconditioned as well. The breakfast starts at 9AM (why is it so late???) and is very basic, with leftovers from previous night dinner, no selection of bakery, well no selection of anything. You can ask for eggs or omelet but they don't know how to make the eggs, it was always over done and with a lot of oil. Regarding the lunch/dinner at the restaurant, it's overpriced, food is not wow as others reviewers have said. Don't order nuggets, it's not eatable and they wanted us to pay for it. The water in the pool was so cold that my daughter got sick with cold right after one swim. Regarding the location, you have to drive your own car or use taxis. Bolt drivers in Batumi don't really want to drive you to the hotel because it will take them 40 min - 1 hour drive instead of 10 min. There is no traffic till 9am only. So the location is perfect if you want to spent your vacation in that hotel and that beach specifically without travelling to the city or other places. Be aware that there is absolutely no supermarket or pharmacy close by. Overall, we liked it there, but it need some approvements done for the 4 star hotel.
