We really enjoyed our experience here. We arrived to a smiling helpful woman in the front office. Parking was in a big lot which is mostly fenced. Easy parking close to the building. Room was clean and comfortable for our few hours of sleep before our flight. Remote didn’t work but they came right over and fixed it, within 5 minutes, and were very nice about it. Shuttle was easy to schedule at check in, was on time and a quick easy ride with friendly personable drivers. Pick up after we landed had clear instructions and went off without a hitch and our driver was excellent! We highly recommend.

I don't know how this hotel could possibly have a 4 start rating. The room was dirty. The bed was uncomfortable. One of the 3 bathroom lights was burnt out and the other two were different colors. Soap dispensers were broke. The shower wall was damaged. The room entry door frame was screwed together with one of the screws sticking out creating a potential injury risk. In regards to park and fly, they required that we leave our car keys with them, which we didn't really want to do but we didn't feel like we had a choice. When we arrived back from our trip and called for a shuttle pick-up, it was late at night, chilly and rainy. We were told the shuttle would arrive in 15-20 minutes and we stood outside in the cold for 40 minutes before they finally showed up. We will NEVER stay there again.

Like 👍 my review! We had an overnight stay at "Carlton Inn Midway'' and it met our low expectations when it comes to price, value, and location. We chose the location due to its close proximity to the Chicago Midway International Airport (MDW) after landing around 2:00AM and departing the next morning to the Pulaski Chicago Transit Agency Station to Downtown Chicago. We completely forgot about the complimentary shuttle service and should've used it after having issues finding a car sharing service from MDW. The customer service was very helpful especially with the late check in and early check out. The continental breakfast was not reflective of the official photographs on their website but they had varieties including hot and cold foods that can be served. The internet was sufficient for quick emails but the connection wasn't stable. We weren't able to turn on the television and go through other channels successfully, making us curious if they had no cable channels. The furniture in the bedroom and bathroom was outdated but it looks like they are undergoing some renovations in other rooms. We would advise not walking around barefoot since the floors and areas around the room may need deeper cleaning. All in all, the place is great for a quick and overnight stay especially being nearby MDW but it is debatable on staying at the "Carlton Inn Midway" again.

Stayed here years ago and had a great experience. Not this time! Room was dark, dirty and run down. Big stain on the carpet. Loud music playing late. Looked like it is now a residents for homeless people. Front desk person was not friendly. I had an early flight and the lobby was dark and locked with no place to leave my room key to indicate I had left. Will not be staying here again!

In an effort to save up for what we knew would be a very expensive vacation (Hawaii), we decided to try the cheapest Park/Sleep/Fly we could find near Midway. Bad idea. Among the plethora of negatives: very tight parking lot (we had to park next door at the pharmacy and leave our keys so they could move our car into the hotel parking lot when it cleared out a little); smelly air conditioning; ridiculously loud vent fan in the bathroom; room phone wasn't connected to anything, and when we did find the plug to call the office it still didn't work; no soap in the sink soap dispenser; pull-out couch/bed had oddly short cushions so if you sat on it the padded 2x12 that passed for the front of the couch cut across your legs; small, all but useless pillows; and we don't expect much with hotel breakfasts, but the powdered eggs served here were the worst (driest) I have ever tried; and in a weird Twilight Zone thing, the bedside alarm clock was set off by one hour. Go figure. On the plus side, the guy who drove us to the airport on the way out was very personable and a good driver. On the way back, we arrived at nearly midnight, and they still came and got us, which was a nice surprise; however, it was the desk guy and, since he left the place unattended, he felt compelled to drive like a maniac to get back before anyone noticed he was gone. Oh, and we never saw a roach. Considering this place was NOT cheap by any standards outside of a big city like Chicago ($300+ for two nights), I recommend spending a few extra bucks and finding anywhere else but here.
