Wonderful hotel! Clean, easy to check in, and located on a beautiful property. It is best to get here by car. We took the Belbus (public transit) from Poperinge with some help from the tourist information center. Without a car, we are able to walk to the brewery and Bar Bernard next door, and a 30 minute walk to the nearest town, Watou. There is no dinner served at the hotel or Bar Bernard (at least currently in June 2023), so keep that in mind. Also, the honesty bar at the hotel is cash only. We had to walk to Watou for the nearest ATM. But once we had beer in hand, there are so many beautiful places to hang out at the hotel. A lovely place to rest and recharge.

Excellent accommodation, we stayed the Pater 6 room, which is beautifully furnished and very big. Breakfast is fantastic with eggs cooked to order. Great selection of beers of course. at superb prices. Staff were lovely. Car parking, rental bikes and charging points available. If you are visiting Watou Arts Festival or touring the amazing breweries in the region? this is a great base.

We biked to this bed and breakfast from Kortrijk. The ride was super scenic, sort of hilly, and a beautiful countryside close to the French border. The St Bernardus bed and breakfast was the most beautiful lodging we stayed at during this whole trip in Belgium. Every nook and cranny was well thought out. It had unique touches and a luxury feel. The refrigerator was filled with local beer and a few bottles of coca cola for a fee.
