We stayed for about 5 days, each day was magical and coming home each night to Casa Sauto made our trip perfect. The staff was amazing, the room was so cozy. My fiance and felt like royalty! also, we are complete introverts, we loved the minimal human interactions throughout our stay. AMAZING PLACE, WE WILL BE BACK VERY SOON!

Had the most amazing experience staying at the Casa Sauto. We booked through VRBO. The host was super accommodating and helped us get set up. The accommodations are absolutely stunning and you can feel the history of the building and the city in every detail. The beds were comfortable and the room was neat, plumbing and electrical worked great. The location also felt very safe and had incredible access to the Zocalo. Public parking is available directly across the street but does not offer daily rates. 15/10 would stay here again.

Casa Sauto is a lovely property in the heart of Mexico City. For being 422 years old, our room (La Princesa Suite) was incredibly renovated, while still keeping it's old world charm. We arrived a bit earlier than our expected check-in time, so we had a little bit of trouble getting into the building to drop our bags. Fortunately after 10-15 minutes of brief panic outside with all of our bags and no response at the doorbell (or over the phone), a gentleman (I believe his name was Artemio) popped out and was able to get us situated. Gracias por su ayuda, Artemio! Our suite was spacious, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet considering the location next to the much-visited Cathedral. Water pressure in the shower was excellent, and the bed and linens were divine. While we would definitely stay here again, Casa Sauto should consider sustainability going forward by providing guests larger, 5-gallon jugs of filtered water, rather than 1 small, individual plastic bottle. Unfortunately because of this, we were forced to purchase more single-use bottles of water for our stay, rather than being able to refill our reusable water bottles that we brought along with us. In addition to this, communication was a bit lacking from management. Checkout was at 11:00 am, however our flight wasn't until much later in the afternoon. We tried calling and emailing management, seeking a safe place to store our luggage in the meantime, but never got a response. As such, we had to lug our bags with us throughout the city for the next few hours, which was obviously not ideal. Overall, however, it was an enjoyable stay.
