We had a great stay in Cave Hotel Saksağan. We got a room on the fairy chimney with spa bath, which was super comfortable. Room was authentically decorated, very clean and spacious. The room opened to the terrace, which you can watch the balloons on in the morning. They sometimes got real close! The staff was very friendly and helpful with recommendations. The breakfast was amazing. We would like to come back again!

After taking a 3 leg flight to reach Kayseri airport and then 1 hr drive to reach Cappadocia in June 2023 , to achieve our dream Family Vacation, we finally checked in at Cave Hotel Saksagan. It was a group booking with a Family room and 2 double rooms. The Hotel is small and cozy and just across the street. Stay was average in a cave room. The breakfast served was average. The Balloon views from Balcony was not great, as the Hotel is not Tall , nor it is situated in higher altitude. We booked the Balloon ride through the Hotel for 9 people. The Balloon ride was arranged by Mr Celal( of Cave Hotel Saksagan). We had to pay the Full charges through Cash / credit card , one day prior to the flight .The Booking was done personally by Mr Yasar , Regional Manager -Voyager travel agency Goreme/ Ihlara Balloon Vadisi / Dreams Balloon Goreme. The Balloon flight was cancelled by the organisers the next day morning (due to bad weather) and we were told that the full refund will happen in 2 weeks. This was confirmed by Mr Celal. However I did not receive any refunds in the last 3 months. Multiple Complaints/ Messages and calls to them went unanswered for last 3 months . I had tried calling/messaging Mr. Arif Bhey, of the balloon company, but unsuccesful to get a refund yet, Anyone booking a Balloon in Cappadoccia, do your Homework , look for a Reputed Balloon Company. Do no compromise on Quality, safety and service, and ruin the Holiday.

This is a great hotel. The room we got was clean and spacious. They have a nice terrace where you can see the balloons if you get up early enough. It's a family business and everyone is really nice. We got to sit and chat with the owner on our last night and he gave us a bunch of recommendations about where to eat in Istanbul as he told us about Turkey and shared his hookah. The place is very well connected to other businesses, but they won't try to force you buy extra stuff. Definitely opt for the green tour.
