The airport is a compact and straightforward airport. There is a currency exchange counter immediately after immigration, so local exchange is recommended. Except for the souqs, most of the places where tourists go accept credit cards, so you may not use cash except for tips.

Stepping into Colombo's international airport on October 7th, 2023, was quite an experience. The place exuded a modern vibe, and it was evident that they've put effort into keeping everything in top shape. Navigating through the terminals was surprisingly easy, thanks to clear signs and friendly staff ready to assist. Immigration and security checks were a breeze, although I did notice a bit of a crowd during the busier hours. Despite that, the airport had a good range of shops and eateries, making the overall journey more enjoyable. It was a solid mix of efficiency and comfort.

The airport is amazing with self check in services Supporting staff and people But the FITS air staff takes a lot of time to assign boarding passes and gets annoying They have international lounges and mini shops for souvenirs and duty free chocolates, drinks and other shopping items

Nice Airport you won’t be able to explore much if just checkout but when you check it, it’s one the beautiful one. Liked it the stores are less but mindful some stores run with the USD value and some with Srilankan currency. It’s been an amazing experience. Explored it for the first time and would definitely like to visit once again for sure in future. Thank you
