My review of the Charming Castle Hotel: I had booked a non-refundable two-week stay through Expedia, but my experience was far from pleasant. During my stay, I encountered multiple issues. There were bugs coming out of the ceiling, and it was evident that the ceiling had structural damage, as evidenced by parts of it falling apart, which I captured in pictures. To add to my concerns, I discovered that the large mirror in the bathroom seemed to be a two-way mirror, revealing electrical wires when inspected with a flashlight. While I cannot confirm if it was a camera, this raised significant privacy concerns. Moreover, the overall condition of the hotel was subpar, with the entire floor reeking of cigarette smoke. Given the numerous problems and discomfort, I decided to check out after just five days out of the 16 I had initially paid for. Unfortunately, the hotel refused to refund any portion of my payment for the unused nights. Despite the financial loss, my well-being and peace of mind were more important, and I opted to leave. In light of the privacy concerns regarding the bathroom mirror, I believe it would be prudent for the local police department to investigate the possibility of hidden cameras in the hotel. My stay was far from satisfactory, and I would advise caution to anyone considering this hotel, even if it's priced as a three star hotel it is in actuality a one or two-star establishment.

Stayed here for 6 days now, for quarantine. This place is the worst. So is the whole quarantine situation! Anyway, this place charges so freaking high but they claim the food is complimentary, a "gift" so I can't do anything except order in or soak raw oats in hot water... I told them about my dietary needs (lacto-vegetarian & diabetic) when I booked, they were happy to get my money but all of a sudden they're surprised that I can't eat white bread! They have no basic understanding of what a diabetic should and should not eat. They've starved me for hours! And more often than I'm comfortable with by any means!!! And gave me raw oats and told me to make do... I was a prisoner. Couldn't go out and they kept ignoring my messages... I want to report them somewhere! But I guess there's a loophole somewhere that makes what they're doing legal... My blood sugar which was 8.5 became 15-17!!! I stopped eating them and gave up trying to explain why it was dangerous to eat all the unhealthy high carb/glucose foods. I see lots of half-eaten or full meals in garbage bins outside the rooms and it's not because they all have specific dietary needs, it's because the food is unhealthy, already going bad, and/or just disgusting! I can recall liking 3 maybe meals... And the service sucks. Ran out of toilet paper was told someone would leave it by the door in 2 hours but still nothing! It's the next day btw still no tp. Had to go out buy one myself! The room is not like the pictures, there was a stain on the pillowcase, little brown dots (ew) and the room itself is dirty. The Taiwanese government is allowing these places to do stuff like these to people who literally can't leave! It's like a prison system. Except I can speak out! And I hope no one stays here... you will regret it.

very bad for a 3 star hotel . The food is very bad, the air conditioner is very cold, there is no temperature control. TV cannot watch. the room was horribly dilapidated….. oh my god… the power cord was out. electric shock when do not know?
