Comfort Inn Los Angeles near Hollywood

After staying in this hotel for a week with great customer service. Yesterday there was apparently a mistake extending our reservation and the room was book for 1 occupant instead of 2. I am staying here because my mother is at the hospital recovering from emergency brain surgery, my husband came to spend a day with me before heading back home. I went to the desk to ask if we could add him to the room for the night and get another parking spot. When I gave the clerk and young man my room number he become aggravated and told me aggressively that they had notes in their system that another person was seen entering the room and they reservation was only for one person. I told him that I wasn't sure but that is was supposed to have been for 2. My father has made all the arrangements for the hotel. He with attitude told me that the additional room charges had to be taken care of first before he could look at parking. I said fine and asked how much it was. Our reservation was for another 8 days at $25 a day pluses my husband for the night would be another $225. I said okay and gave him my credit card. After a few minutes he came back and said my card was declined. I was suprized and my husband got his card out to try. I looked at my banking app to see why the card was declined and it showed that this man had charged my card for $1492 causing my account to be overdrawn. I asked him why he charged me that much when it was supposed to by $225. He told me he didn't. I showed him my phone screen where it shows the charge and asked to speak to a Manger or someone else. During this time my husband requested his card back because we can not have all of our money stolen from us. The clerk also made a copy of my ID and credit card with out asking or telling me, my husband told him not to make a copy of his ID and card. The clerk got very angry and began yelling at us, threw his window open and physically challenged my husband and treated to kick us out. I tried to explain that I am just here to be with my mother and began having a panic attack. I pushed my husband back and we went to the room to collect our belongings to leave, I will not send another night in this establishment. The clerk continued to scream at us and we were in the elevator that he would physically assault my husband and have us kicked out. I have never been treated so badly, like I am a criminal and physically treated. This is not a safe place do not stay here.

The guy at the front desk was very nice and helpful. Rooms were nicer and cleaner than expected. The parking situation was absolutely terrible & the elevator was very noisy didn’t feel secure. Besides that I would stay here again.
