Contact Hotel Alizé Montmartre

My review for this hotel is 3 stars. I don't want that to be taken negatively, for a 3 star hotel it didn't exceed expectations. You could say it reached them. This place is just fine. I would stay here again. Its good to freshen up and sleep. I wouldn't stay here if i planned on staying inside all day. For its location and comfortable bed it is perfect. If you need more than that, well, thats up to you. I also want to comment on how nice the staff were. They were lovely and did a wonderful job looking after us. The bathroom is how i judge most hotels. This bathroom was not very pleasing. The shower head was broken, most of the holes worked but it didn't stay up right or in the position you wanted it in. It mostly would point down or to the left or right. It was uncontrollable and loose. At one point the bathroom flooded. I believe because the head was broken but unsure if there was a leak as I was unaware of any reason for the shower head pointing downwards to cause such a flood. The staff (who were all lovely) had maintenance on it right away while we were out and did fix the shower head for the rest of our stay but couldn't say what caused the flooding. The towels and toilet paper arent great but just as youd expect. Most of the bathroom was covered in limescale and some mold. The sink and bath tub had dirt in the porcelain which wouldn't come off. The hairdryer worked some of the time and was covered in thick dust as was the extractor fan. On a more positive note there was a free shower cap, soaps and shampoo&body wash. I did not use them so cant comment, but they were supplied. The bedroom was good. The TV worked and the bed was very comfortable. There were spare pillows in the wardrobe which also came with coat hangers. The wifi was good. There are multiple sockets around the room. A kettle and free coffee and tea and a free 500ml bottle of water supplied daily. The air con worked. The sounds of paris are quieter at night but to be expected. The lift is small. Its worth mentioning if you have brought a lot of luggage, or are a particularly bigger person you may have to take multiple trips(or the stairs). We just about fit as two average people with 2 cabin suitcases. It was a squeeze. Ignore the clanging sound. It happens everytime. Ignore it. Dont think about it. The location is very good. Extremely close to place de clichy metro and a McDonald's if you're looking for a home comfort. Pharmacy is also near for anything you may have forgotten or need. Very easy to get around when staying here.

I stayed two nights here. A small but comfortable hotel. Nice room with good aircon, immaculately clean. Breakfast is fine, with plenty of choice and all you can eat. All the staff, both on reception and in the breakfast room, we're friendly and helpful. Great location in the Montmatre district, close to the Metro statio, and so easy access to all the sights in Paris. You are close to the Moulin Rouge, but, more importantly, if you walk up the hill just after the Moulin Rouge you will find lovely cafes and bistros, including the one used in the film Amelie. If you want a base in Paris, offering clean, comfortable accommodation, then I would recommend the Contact Hotel Alize Montmatre.
