Came to Glasgow for a conference over at the SEC. Drove up from Southampton! Spent two nights at this quite stunning hotel, breakfast was really delicious, the lifts are super quick and was quite busy too. The facilities in the room were also excellent - towels lovely and soft and shower gel, shampoo and conditioner smelled really good. I used some of the conditioner and left my hair lovely and soft. The tissues were really soft too. Only complaints if I had any were - the TV had no radio channels (small complaint as MTV was there but the adverts were in ?Finnish?! - the bed had a mattress topper on and felt quite lumpy. Hard in some places and soft in others. Didn't suit my back so the second night I took a sleeping tablet to sleep through it, and I did thankfully - and when leaving, did an 'idiot check' like you do, and found a broken buckle under the bed from a previous guest. When asked at reception if the stay was good I mentioned both the mattress topper and the buckle under the bed and she wasn't really interested in either, which has left a tiny bitterness in my mouth considering the quality of the hotel. Overall though, it was a great stay and I would stay again.

The Courtyard by Marriott at the SEC campus in Glasgow is one I will be returning to, rooms very clean and beds extremely comfortable, staff on the whole very friendly although some staff members sometimes have no clue what the other person is doing. The location is superb as it is very near to the OVO Hydro for shows. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel and we had our dogs along with us. Snacks are a bit expensive, but you are in a hotel after all. Food can be ordered from outside and the reception will call you when it arrives. Park on the second floor of the car park and use the walkway into the hotel. As you enter through the sliding door you will see a door on your left and the lift is hidden behind it. Car park is subsidised as long as you hand you ticked to reception. Car park will be £8 even if you stay 1hr or 24hrs. Otherwise its a flat rate of £11 if you are there for more than 12hrs. My recommendation is to explore and if the weather is nice take a walk over to The BBC and the Science building. Some nice interactive outdoor activities to do.

The hotel was beautiful and the room looked a high standard. Must be honest and say for the higher than average price, there isn't anything that warrants it during your stay - some simple touches like bottled water, biscuits, mugs & cutlery are missing from the room. Views from the room on the 8th floor were impressive. The receptionist on arrival was very welcoming and generously upgraded our room, when she learnt that we were celebrating our anniversary. Our main issue was the bed. Unfortunately the bed was VERY uncomfortable as the mattress was extremely unsupportive and uneven. It meant that we had a very unsettled nights sleep, leaving us both exhausted and aching the following morning. Furthermore, when we politely informed the receptionist on checkout, her response was very disappointing as she replied "ah yes, a lot of people have told us that. It's because the mattress protector is very lumpy". There was no apology, it was an awkward exchange & it was extremely frustrating to know that the staff are already aware of the issue but haven't resolved it by simply replacing the mattress protector. Unfortunately we would be reluctant to recommend or rebook a stay here, as we would be fearful of another very uncomfortable nights sleep. If this issue hadn't happened or had been dealt with better we'd have zero complaints!
