Beyond exceptional. Extremely attentive staff, room and hotel were simply world leading in cleanliness & well chosen furniture. View were stunning & the food was beyond description! Mouth watering dishes were had and all at reasonable prices. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back.

Beautiful Crossbasket castle, stunning setting. We were there for an afternoon tea. Staff were so lovely. Beautiful setting in the lounge with coal fire. Delicious sandwiches, scones, cakes and tea with refills. Loved it. There was no rush and enjoyed everything especially madeleines with chocolate dip and meringues.

Our first experience of Crossbasket Castle and we will definitely return! Stunning building and grounds, beautiful interior and the best service we have had anywhere for a long time. Emma at Reception and Reagan (Food & Beverage) are superstars. We had a light lunch and scones (highly recommended) along with a couple of drinks upon arrival. We were shown to a table overlooking the river - it was so relaxing and a great spot to pass the afternoon. Pre dinner cocktails (Autumnal specials) were very good and dinner was excellent too. The Venison and the creme brulee were the highlights there. We also enjoyed breakfast in our room (there was a large dining table and plenty of space so why not?!) and it's worth noting the room was huge, beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. Very comfy bed too. All in all a fantastic stay and we would thoroughly recommend it.

I spent two nights at the castle as a part of a wedding party. The castle is beautiful and set in stunning grounds, giving it a remote feel whilst still being very close to major transport routes. The service was fantastic. The staff were approachable, friendly and helpful with every request. The rooms are beautifully decorated and incredibly spacious with lovely views over the grounds. The bathrooms follow suit and both the roll top bath and walk in shower were exceptional. The food was excellent, as you'd expect from a Michel Roux kitchen. Every dish we had was perfectly made. It was a magical trip, with one small exception, the only negative thing I could possibly say - the pillows in the bedrooms were awful. Extremely soft and unsupportive, friends and relatives also staying said the same. I appreciate this is a matter of taste, but it would be nice to have the option to switch them out, as it stands I'd be bringing my own in future. Overall a fantastic place to spend a few days, and equally fantastic as a wedding venue. The function areas were lovely and perfectly designed for smooth transitions between different parts of the day. Very highly recommended.
