I used this hotel as a day-room stopover between Australia and Europe, layover was 21hrs with after midnight arrival & departure. I tried to confirm day-room use with the hotel via email, they wanted to charge extra fees for this even though I was using the room for no longer than an overnight stayer. Early check-in, early check-out. Email wasn't returned so then tried to arrange this upon arrival to the hotel. Hotel reception cannot make decisions on anything that is not a regular overnight stay check-in procedure, so I had to wait in the freezing cold lobby for 3hrs until more senior staff arrived. When senior staff were in attendance I was allowed to check-in finally, and they upgraded my room which was lovely. All would have been forgiven and this review wouldn't have been posted, but then: - All products in the room and minibar were expired. (Photos) - Lounge couch was heavily stained so not so nice to relax in the lounge. - Room phone not correctly wired for room service, after repeated automated prompts that fail, finally it goes to switchboard and then you get transferred to the kitchen. - Restaurant hours printed in room menu and book are incorrect. Both restaurants close earlier, so I missed out on the Japanese meal I was looking forward to. - tap water is not safe to drink in China's capital city, bottled water was provided but it was out of date also. - Mild electric shock from lift buttons on the way down to the closed restaurants. - Wifi, don't bother. But this was the same at the airport, so must be Chinese censoring. It wasn't all bad, the room upgrade was a nice gesture and the room service food was fine, but overall it wasn't a great stay.

I feel this is the best hotel near the Capital Airport and the National Exhibition Center. It has a beautiful environment, cleanliness, high-end facilities and complete facilities. The front desk service is warm and thoughtful, especially Carol at the front desk who upgraded my room for me. The room is spacious and bright, the air conditioning is powerful, the big bed is comfortable, the windows are soundproof, and the room is quiet. Since I am a Diamond Ambassador, I feel honored to receive Lynn’s professional services! With a proactive and positive attitude, I have stayed at InterContinental Group hotels for more than 100 days this year. It can be said that I have encountered the best hotels of the year. Must give a big thumbs up. Because we had an early flight, the hotel specially arranged a sumptuous take-out breakfast, which was great! The hotel's transportation is very convenient, and there is a free shuttle bus to the airport, which is punctual and safe! I will stay at this hotel again next time I travel. Finally, I would like to thank every employee in the hotel for your service!

The room was decent. I guess I can’t complain about that. It’s near the airport. I was only there for one night. It was very dead inside the hotel, and nothing much to do a little bit boring. It was only for one night though.

A beautiful, nice and quiet hotel. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. Should update the old TV model. Wifi is not good, you need VPN. The room is stuffy during winter time. I opened the window for more cool air. Next to the hotel there is pizza hut, KFC, Starbucks, bakery shop and Chinese food restaurant. Not a lot but it is enough if you are staying for a short period. Overall a good transit hotel near the airport.

I was here Aug 2023. Looking at the furniture in the rooms, it seems a little old. Location also no good. Nothing around the hotel. Next to it just a Pizza Hut and one or 2 Chinese restaurants. There's a mall about 15 minutes walk. But after Covid, the shops all changed. Nothing much there now. Mostly hair salon, photo studio, beauty salon, one Mcdonald's, one Starbucks Cafe. Hotel is about less than 15 minutes to airport.
