This hotel was quite literally the worst place I have ever stayed. Every picture that they have is fake and highly edited. There is mold, rust, bed bugs, a terrible smell, and my room had a constant drip going from the ceiling. Men stand outside of the location harassing you daily as you come in and out. There is no amount of money that could make me stay here again and the place should be shut down for it's frankly disgusting state. The owners are scammers and deserve none of your money. Do yourself a favor and find a different place to stay or you will be putting your entire vacation at risk.

RATS! We had rats under our bed. Woke up half way through the night to the screeching of a rat dying as blood poured out of its mouth. Then as we were woken up again at 9, by the caretaker asking for our bin even though it was empty, I checked under the bed to see the rat had been half eaten and dragged from the pool of blood. They were VERY reluctant to give us any money back and we had to argue. Charged us for 2 nights even though we only stayed 1, and were meant to stay 5. Worst place I’ve ever stayed, absolutely disgusting and should be shut down.

DO NOT STAY HERE. First of all, one of my bags went missing whilst we were waiting to check in and when asked to check the security footage they said there was nobody was able to work it. (We asked on multiple days… suspicious). Similarly on the same day someone else was stood at reception reporting missing items after the cleaner had been in. The rooms are nothing like they show on the pictures, the ceiling was coming through, the room was tiny, there was no air con only a fan, one pillow, hidden safe far under the bed that didn’t work, no towels provided, you couldn’t connect to the WiFi in your room meaning you had to stand in the corridor. The toilet was a wet room that leaked water everywhere, no toilet roll provided and every time you flushed the toilet it leaked and smelt of sewage. And to top it off the staff were rude and unhelpful. We booked in for 3 nights and left after 1. Please do not waste your time or money on any of the hostels found in this building (Chungking mansions) as they are all owned by one company.

The only plus, I guess, for this hostel is its location — just walking distance from bus stops and Tsim Sha Tsui subway station. Easy to commute from airport. There are sort of eateries and nearby restaurants, as well as shopping centers/malls. I booked my room here thru Agoda, and I thought it was already paid online. When I arrived at the Chungking Mansions where this hostel is located, I had a slight difficulty locating the elevator going to the reception at 10th flr. When I checked in, I had no choice but to pay it using my credit card, wherein they charged extra 5% simply because I used credit card to pay — which will then also charge me up to 3% more for the foreign transaction fee. This means I had my room at a more expensive rate than what I expected it to be. They also require a refundable deposit worth HKD100. When I saw my room, it was really small and tight. Much of the posted room rate is supposed for the cleaning fee. But I think they never tried cleaning my room during my entire stay, nor even offered to do so. No free towels. Aircon works fine, fortunately. TV was basically useless. There is also no city views as advertised. They offer free wifi, but I used my data only for my internet connection. They also offer free coffee and water. For those with tight budget, this hostel is fine (rather pwede na) especially if you will just sleep during the night. If you have a companion, better choose the bigger rooms as those are probably more comfortable. Or better yet, find a different accomodations. Maybe avoid those being managed by Dhillon Hotels Hongkong LTD. They are managing most, if not, all the hostels within Chungking Mansions. You might just feel disappointed. As for me, I got what I paid for.

I warn you! Do not stay in this hostel! Completely rubbish and full of complaints from customers and will not give you refund even if you want to change hotel because of the very bad environment. Cancelling reservation and wasting your time, giving the reserved room to walk in customers. Totally bad hostel and many bad complaints from customers who are currently staying! Stay out! Well, if you want headache then stay at this hostel but YOU ARE WARNED!
