The resort is in the middle of nowhere. You won't find anything outside the resort, restaurant or shopping. It's NOT safe to walk outside the resort, any time of the day or night. You will be confined to the resort for all your needs. Having said that, the resort serves some great food and stands on a large land area. Service is good, but none understand basic English. Rooms are great, specially the family villas. The most terrifying part of the resort is their decliff restaurant that hangs by a few rods and metal grill. My family and I were terrified to sit at a table on this fragile restaurant set up. You can book a taxi to different sight seeing places. Room prices are reasonable. Maybe, worth a single visit if you love a place away from everywhere.

Our family of 4 stayed for 3days 2nights at their pool villa. We are grateful for the excellent service from all the staff. We had a comfortable stay. De bintan villa has a lot to offer to its guests. We highly recommend this place

Mostly satisfied with the service. Food is edible. Resort is not for people with height phobia as your villa may be located on top of the hill. My only issue is that the resort had a mini zoo with farm animals. However, there were two monkeys as well, caged inside a small enclosure. The monkeys look very depressed and they had chains on their neck. It would be preferred if the resort freed these monkeys. They are not necessary in the mini zoo, it’s very sad. I wonder how many years they have been caged inside… the rest of the farm animals are fine as I assume they collect the chicken eggs for the food etc. Everything else is great. Beautiful view and beautiful resort. Please free the monkeys.

Off the beaten path, which is what we wanted. The hotel seemed to be running very under capacity, but the staff was still very attentive throughout our stay. There was a little bit of on-site construction when we were there, but it wasn't too noisy in our rooms. The cafe upstairs offers spectacular views. Oh and take advantage of the free pick-up from the ferry terminal.
