I recently attended a wedding at this hotel and was extremely disappointed with the experience. The staff was disorganized and unprofessional, leading to a chaotic and stressful event. The hotel failed to properly coordinate with the wedding party, resulting in a lack of communication and confusion throughout the day. The ceremony was delayed due to the hotel's inability to stick to the agreed-upon schedule, causing frustration for both the bride and groom and their guests. Furthermore, the quality of the food and service during the reception was subpar. The meals were cold and unappetizing, and the waitstaff seemed overwhelmed and untrained. Many guests were left waiting for their meals or drinks for an unacceptable amount of time. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel for anyone looking to host a wedding or any special event. The lack of professionalism and attention to detail made for a disappointing and stressful experience. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere for your special day.

We had an excellent stay at De Leopol. Anjelline and the staff were very welcoming and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. The rooms were spacious and tidy with some English speaking tv channels. The shower was hot and powerful and the rooms were serviced every day. The food was very nice: fresh omelettes and coffee along with lots of local food options (and the banana bread was exceptional). The lunches and evening meals had some local dishes, plus a good variety of western options: beef bourguignon, pizza, spag Bol, lasagne, burgers and some curries. All of the food was VERY nice. I also felt VERY secure in the hotel and got the feeling that people genuinely wanted to help, not a sense of being helpful for tips which I particularly don’t enjoy. A great hotel with great people.

Worst hotel to deal with. I have tried to not post a negative review for the last two months. This hotel is a scam. They took our deposit eight months ago for a conference room rental. We canceled according to the contract way before the event due to the hotel’s great lack of service and providing food that’s stale (went there twice for lunch after booking). They are refusing to cut the check now although we had signed a cancellation. I have been trying to reach their office, including Anjie, Gelila , and another girl that works there. They all tell me to wait or at this point ignore my calls. On top of that, although they tell you, your rooms can be refunded if you cancel months before, they don’t provide a refund for rooms. I am taking legal action with them now, and will keep this review updated. avoid them at all costs.

This hotel is staffed by the most incompetent and rude managers and staff. I was at the bar of this hotel on October 14, 2023 with my friends, they charged us upfront for our drinks and then denied us the drinks. It was baffling and hard to believe, we waited for almost an hour and they finally served us the drink when I asked for refund. The two managers I talked to (Diva and Belay) are the most incompetent and rude managers I have ever seen in Addis. Belay was even angry at me because I asked for the drinks I paid for.
