We have stayed there over a week in September. First of all, the only positive thing is the view and the mini beach they have. Unfortunately this is not at all a Marriott! 5 stars in Türkiye is definitely not this type of hotel standard. Things in the hotel are very expensive, despite low to average quality. The hotel is very old. Walls are thin, as if you would live in a box. Hygiene and cleaning standards are below average - Of all towels we got, 99% was not clean, really disgusting. Some staff is nice, but most of them don’t bother even coming over to you to take an order. The food is below average for the money that is being paid there. Italian a la carte restaurant is closed. We were told we can eat there once per week before arriving in the hotel. Only fish restaurant working. Staff is not trained and has no motivation to work, maybe 3-4 people in the whole hotel spoke English.

The sea is wonderful- actually that’s the only great thing. It’s on a hill and without a car you don’t get out. Getting a cab is a problem. The quality of food is awful. They use the most cheap products one can imagine and you taste it. I think it’s not only about quantity but quality!

Avoid this hotel like the plague. They’re not part of Marriott Bonvoy although it clearly says “Marriott”. They don’t give you any Bonvoy points or nights for your status. In the whole hotel there are no ironing boards and irons, not for money or at additional charge. Reception doesn’t speak English, is extremely unhelpful, and asks you to smile when they tell you in Turkish that they don’t know until when shops are open where you could buy an iron or any other supplies. At the buffet at exactly 9:31 pm they tell you they won’t give you water anymore. Also at 9:30 pm sharp all food disappears from the restaurants and the hallways are dark at night. An extreme health hazard, just imagine someone falls and injures himself due to cost cutting of the hotel. They also don’t have power adapters for rent, sale or an option to borrow them. As if everyone comes from a country where they use the same sockets And it goes on an on and on, and I’m only here for a few hours. Biggest mistake of hotel bookings, I will never stay in any Marriott property again, although I am a platinum Bonvoy member. Hot water is rarely existing, blankets are very cold and thin and have stains on them. Now the management replied, and all I have to say is that you are prolific and pathetic liars. At no time during the check-in process was it mentioned that they don’t have a valid contract with Marriott. The contract with Marriott was cancelled and for a good reason. When addressing the hotel assistant general manager lady she just laughed at me and was happy she made angry. Definitely the worst experience from any hotel staff I’ve ever seen. Three days after check-in and after asking multiple times they were still not able to give me a receipt for the money I spent here. Absolute horror of an experience.
