My family has 15 people including children, but compared to every time I've rented a hotel, I think staying here is a hundred times better, and much cheaper. There are 4 bedrooms, one room in each house, the extra young people just spread the mattress in the common hall, which is vast. Even a group of 20-22 people is still ok. The first floor is the living room and kitchen, so large that the kids can race with each other in the house (I brought all sorts of things from home, but since the house is spacious, I'm happy). I also brought a tent. During the day, the children bring the tent to the yard. At night, they carry the tent to the second floor and sleep together in the tent. If you stay at a hotel, each house has one room, cramped, moving in and out like crazy, but this is a villa nearly 200m wide on two floors, running in and out comfortably like your own home, quiet. My dad said he's never been anywhere as comfortable as that. The owner of the house is Uncle Duc Ngoc, he works at a travel company, she is a retired teacher who now sells children's toys, very kind. In the villa, there is a kitchen ready to cook and there is no shortage of anything, just go to the market to buy seafood to cook. Any house that doesn't want to cook or clean can immediately hire a maid for a few days, just ask the landlord. My family's rice is in Uncle Ngoc's bucket, and her cooking oil, fish sauce, and salt are ready. Even if you go to the market absent-mindedly, just ask the landlady to go to the market and buy it for you. She wrote down on paper what she wanted to eat, so she went to the market. The price is half as cheap as Hanoi. Peeled shrimp in Hanoi is 250k, this market is 120k/kg, oysters are 40k, big and full of intestines, so why do I buy them in Hanoi for 250k, my grandmother buys them for me for 120k... I asked the landlord to book the car and tour for me, much cheaper than outside. The full day Lan Ha Bay tour he booked for me was 250k/person, all day from morning to night, big boat, kayak..., big Daiichi car in Hanoi Cat Ba 200k/person but if he booked for me it was only 150k . When I went, I didn't know how expensive it was to rent a car. When I came back, he told me I'd let him book it for me, so I regret spending so much money on the trip. At first, Ms. Thao refused to advertise, so she didn't know that ordering would save her a lot of money. This area is very secure. Villa is in the alley behind Cat Ba hospital so it's quiet, 10k motorbike taxis go everywhere. When I go out late at night, I see neighbors sleeping with their doors closed, leaving their motorbikes and furniture on the street, not having to store anything. The minus point is that the electricity here is a bit weak, cooking is a bit slow during peak hours, but it's okay because there is a gas stove from the owner's house, so you can just borrow it and use it. He recently designed a homemade BBQ stove in the yard, took it to buy coal, and then eagerly fanned the charcoal to help. Late at night, luring the children to sleep and then grilling seafood in the yard is very satisfying. Besides, I wish my house had another dishwasher, I would be 100% happy. Next time I go anywhere, I will rent a house like this to stay instead of staying in a hotel. The only thing is I don't know if I will ever have such kind owners again.
