Diamond Beach Villas

I would have given 3 stars, but considering it’s located on Nusa Penida island, where you don’t have so many good options and let’s be honest…it’s not exactly in the middle of civilization. After I arrived on the island, I was even surprised about the conditions. The people from the villa are all nice, they have a contact number and available at any time. The kitchen villas are equipped if you want to cook or make yourself a coffee, but personally I did not used it. You have water at your disposal, without being overcharged. The location is ok, if you are interested in visiting Diamond and Atuh beaches. For us a plus was the spa nearby and the only small and surprising restaurant located at the end of the road, where we could eat. But you are basically isolated, there aren’t many things to do or visit in the area so definitely you have to be aware of this when going on this area. It’s a quiet place, you will hear the roosters and the gecko’s. The place is really spacious, nicely decorated and overall clean. However, there were a few things I did not liked. I didn’t liked the towels: the pool towel had a weird smell and the ones from the room were not so clean (from being overused) and felt rough. We ordered also food: fish and rice. The fish was a small one and with a lot of bones + scales and the rice felt dry - like it was cooked at least one day before. It is extremely hot in the upstairs rooms! The air conditioner and the fan worked without interruption throughout our stay and it still felt unpleasant during the day. Also, from the noise you could not sleep well at night. And from all that air conditioning, if you are a little more sensitive, you risk waking up with a stuffy nose, like I did. The drapes are extremely thin and not at all opaque. Last night it rained extremely hard and we woke up also because it was raining in our bed! Be also aware that the heating water comes from a boiler, if there a few more people in the villa, you risk washing with cold water! It will eventually heat again, but still…it could be an inconvenient.

Rues was taking good care of us while we stay. Such and good amazing place to stay especially when you want visit diamond beach and treehouse
