Easy hike for not even skilled hikers. Hiking shoes would be useful on some parts of the hike since some parts can be slippery. Recommend stopping at Buddhist temple on the way up. Good view of Seoul. There is insect repellent at start of hike which I only noticed on my way down.

I visted 부동산 우이암 ⛰with my friend Prof. Choi who is working at Sejong University. Really, it was totally amazing hiking trip to see beautiful Seoul from the one of the highest peaks in Seoul 🎎🇰🇷 We do hiking around 8km an enjoy the beautiful nature view. There were many Koreans and Foreigners doing hiking in singles and teams 🏞🏔 I recommend it for every one want really to enjoy a skey view of Seoul 🎇🎆🎉🎊

This mountain located an hour from Seoul station If you are going for hiking it’s a good place to begin with Before you enter the mountain there are many shops that sell hiking equipment also not that expensive to be honest Just so let you know it’s really hard to find waste bin around the area but there are few toilets Also last 1km is really hard to climb just be careful with especially while coming down too much slippery

The hiking trails going up and down Dobongsan are made of quite steep rocks and the slope of the road is very steep. So, you should wear shoes that protect your feet and ankles as much as possible and have non-slip soles. Also, it is recommended to bring plenty of water, as rough breathing can make you thirsty. Although this Dobongsan is not so high and is located in downtown Seoul, this Dobongsan is rather difficult to climb compared to other high mountains in Korea.

Dobong mountain is challenging. The peak Chaunbong(자운봉) is only 700 meters but the trekking way to the peak is tough unless you are regular hiker. Also, this mountain is rocky and has some oldest buddhist temples such as Gwangryunsa(광륜사), Cheonchuksa (천축사) which were built in Silla Dynasty period. There are some toilets in the mountain. Make sure to wear appropriate clothes and shoes if you are going to challenge Dobong Mountain hiking. The starting point of hiking is around 1 km away from Dobongsan station (line 1,7) exit no.1 and it takes around 15 minutes walk.
