this place was incredible!! super affordable but with the comfort of a lifetime, it was unbelievable. we got free breakfasts too! have never gotten such a perfect stay at such a reasonable rate. the staff was so warm and lovely, 100% would stay here again!

They deliberately overbook and then ask guests to stay at nearby 2 star and 3 star hotels. Even though the rooms were not available at the time on checking in and we were asked to move to other hotel along with few other guests, they were still taking bookings for the night. Receptionists even said the hotel is not a 4 star hotel and the ratings given on Google are false. Luckily we met a senior employee who accepted hotels mistake and made better arrangements for us for the night.

Last year, June 2022, I stayed in Dom Himalaya. This year, June 2023, I stayed in Dom Himalaya again. Which I requested from Top of The World Treks company to let me stay in this hotel again. I like the quietness of the place and my balcony view for morning coffee or tea. The place is clean, and customer service is great, too. The funny thing was, last year and this year. I had the same room and the staffs recognized me, which was great. I will definitely stay in the hotel again every single time I come visit Kathmandu, Nepal. I recommend this place to anyone visit Kathmandu, Nepal to stay in Dom Himalaya. The place is quiet, clean, friendly staffs and great area in Thamel walking.

A Memorable Stay with Heartwarming Nepali Hospitality - Dom Himalaya Hotel! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My recent stay at Dom Himalaya Hotel was an absolute delight! The staff's cuteness, courteousness, and prompt responsiveness to our every need were beyond compare. The reception team was exceptional, making the check-in and check-out process effortless. A culinary journey through the delectable local cuisines was a true pleasure. The flavors were simply exquisite, leaving a lasting impression. This hotel lives up to the saying of Nepali people being incredibly warm-hearted and hospitable. The care and dedication shown by the staff made our stay truly memorable. I wholeheartedly recommend Dom Himalaya Hotel for a remarkable experience. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for making our stay so special!

We stayed in Dom Himalaya hotel from 16-17august 2023. It was a good hotel for our short stay in KTM. It was fuss-free and even included a complimentary airport pickup which was such a good deal. Initially the room key had issues so we had to wait for around 20mins but it got resolved. Room was clean, spacious and sufficient for the night. And the security staff were very nice to help us with our luggages. However I am extremely disappointed by the staff who worked during the night shift as he tried to scam us. Prior to our trip, I managed to WhatsApp the hotel a few days ago and they quoted me 500 NPR for a taxi to the airport or 1500NPR for a private hire car. We checked in at close to 12am and informed him that we may need his help to call for a taxi at around 6 in the morning for our next flight. He said okays during check in. When we came down to check out, he had a private driver waiting and quoted us 1500NPR for the car. We said that we already informed that we wished to taxi to which he said there is no taxi going to airport for 500 NPR and tried to convince us to take the private car. I showed him the WhatsApp conversation between the hotel and me which showed the various pricings. He got a shock and after telling him to call a taxi firmly he spoke on the phone to someone. After cutting the line, he pointed to the same private car driver who was at the lobby and said he will take us for 600 NPR. I am extremely disgusted as I believe that he was a bad representation to the hotel and tried to scam us. Disappointing as Nepalese hotel hospitality is one of the best in the world.
