Probably the best hotel we've stayed at. Great location set in stunning grounds. Plenty of parking although we struggled at first as a Christmas party was booked in. Staff are excellent, warm cookies offered on check in, a nice touch. Beautiful laid out modern rooms. Room service was super quick. Breakfast had an excellent choice and everything was top quality. Our only gripe was that the mattress was too hard (but they are all like that in Hilton's) and the pillows were full of air. Both high quality but not for us. That doesn't deter from the high quality of the hotel. A1!

I stayed for work and the rooms were clean, but nothing overly redeeming about them. There's a spa attached to the hotel which is probably brilliant, but we didn't visit. My main issue with the hotel was how terrible the breakfast is, plenty of choice, but the quality offered isn't reflective of the price. Anemic eggs, cheapest of cheap black pudding, sausages meh. Bacon was good. Hardly any fruit. There was only one slow coffee machine to serve everyone. I would only stay at a Hilton Double Tree again if there was a decent price, but I wouldn't actively look to stay here.

Very nice meal. I had chicken forestiere. Perfect sized portion for me. Those with large appetites would want additional sides. The staff are really well trained and know the food and drinks menus inside out. Service is included in bill.

It would have been good value at half the price. It was all a bit Premier Inn-y but with a vastly inflated price tag. Never enough staff so we had to wait to be seated, wait to order, wait for drinks, wait for food, wait to check out... Steaks at the "Marco Pierre White" steakhouse were pretty average (but very expensive) and they wouldn't do the burgers pink because they were unsure of their supplier. 🤨 Breakfast is a buffet (again rather expensive for what it is) and they were constantly running out of everything. The spa is lovely but, on balance, we won't be going back.
