DP Apartments Vaasa

So, glad we found this rather than checkin in to a hotel. The apartment was over my expectations for a reasonable amount. Spacious apartment, Daniel was super friendly and we weren't able to get a taxi, so he came and picked us up.

The apartment at 14 Assemakatu is located in a very modern building. The place is very close to Vaasa railway station (300..400m), and is walking distance to the city center area. Less than 100m from the apartment you have a large department store, Halpa Halli, that is very convenient for getting food and drink items The main door of apartment block is accessed through a short flight of stairs--which can be a challenge if you have heavy bags. But there is another, slightly longer route, via the adjacent street which obviates the need to navigate the steps. That's the route used by cabs who drop you right at the front door The entry to the building is through a coded door lock (you get the code from the landlord when you book), and after passing through the double doors, you see the automatic elevator. Our apartment was on the 3rd floor (second level of the building), at the end of the corridor. Again entry to the apartment is through a coded door lock (no physical keys to carry around). Inside the tastefully furnished apartment, that comprises one large living-cum-kitchenette and one bedroom (with a queen sized bed). The living room has a sofa-cum-bed, a large 65 inch LED TV, a Bose speaker for mobile phones, a small dining table with 4 chairs, a large refrigerator, electric hob and oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine (no dryer), coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster, assortment of cutlery, plates, glasses, etc. Enough stuff to make your stay comfortable. There us also a tiny enclosed balcony, converted into a room that has a study table and chair. The apartment is equipped with wireless Internet--which is reasonably fast. The living room and bedroom are equipped with radiators for heating, while the bathroom has a heated floor. There is also a small sauna attached to the bathroom. All the fittings and fixtures in the apartment are of high quality, and the entire place is spic and span. The owner also provides an electric iron and ironing board, and a vacuum cleaner. The apartment can accommodate 3 adults in comfort, or a family with 2 small kids We found the owner, David, to be extremely quick in all our communications, and helpful with advice. Very pleasant experience in dealing with him -- highly recommended!
