Jenny's homestay is simply great. Guests have the opportunity to stay in a truly Nepalese house far away for the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu city. The main attractions are pretty near though, by foot in approx half an hour you can reach Monkey Temple or Thamel. Taxis and Motorbikes at cheap price will take you wherever you prefer. Jenny can also show you how to use local buses. The house is also close to the beautiful local park of Balaju. I stayed at Jenny's house renting out a room in her apartment. The room is fully furnished (big Wardrobe with locker, coffee table, double bed middle size) and has annexed WC. Shower with hot water is shared. Through Jenny you can learn about local culture and daily lifestyle of Nepalese people living in the capital. She is also a great cooker and she will prepare for you delicious meals. If you want to learn how to cook nepalese she will be happy to teach you some secrets. Totally recommended, great host, great apartment and authentic experience.

Absolutely loved our time with Jenny and her son, it offered a very comforting embracing experience. Given that my friend that planned the trip got delayed by sickness, having a nice cozy home environment to come back to after a day of adventuring was very very nice. They made us feel like part of their family and the cooking was great. The rooftop is great for morning stretching and workouts, they even had yoga mats. Jenny and her son also have very great English skills which made it easier to communicate, they even made my English feel inadequate at times. The surrounding area is very quiet and the people are very friendly, and it is also not too far from the bustling city environment. I heavily recommend walking the city of Kathmandu as apposed to taking taxis and this home stay is the perfect place to stay if you plan to do so.

Never have I stayed somewhere and felt so welcome by people I've never met before. Jenny and her family are some of the kindest people I've met in Nepal or anywhere. Accomodations were also great, as well as the location.

Jenne and her son are amazing people, very accommodating and friendly. A perfect welcome to Nepal and it’s culture and people. Jenne’s cooking is incredible and the rooftop provides a nice view of the city. The neighborhood is also very friendly and laidback. I would recommend this highly to anybody looking for a fun, safe and welcoming home for their visit to Nepal.

Following a recommendation we went to jenny's homestay. We had the most amazing time at jenny's. From the moment we arrived until we left she was available for anything we asked for. Whether it was adjusting the food a bit or even going with us to the supermarket for supplements before the trek! The homestay is very clean, with a hot shower and delicious home made meals. The meals are made from organic ingredients that the neighborhood and jenny herself grow! Beyond the amazing hospitality, she and her son know English at an excellent level and we talked a lot. It was very interesting to compare the cultures and just talk about everyday stuff. We will definitely be coming back!!
