We had a great stay at Velvet. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The beds were well equipped with curtains, lights and charging ports. It is far from the city but very close to the metro and only a short ride into the centre. Many thanks to the receptionist, Rana, for being so friendly and accommodating!

Everything has been great. I've no complaints. Little bit far from the centre of Madrid but I actually rather this as I hate huge crowds of people. Both receptionists I met are lovely. This is a neat place to stay if you don't fancy the hordes of people that are in Madrid city centre.

The hostel is clean and the people who work there are very nice. They charged my headphones for me since I forgot my cable and always greeted me nicely when I walked in. The things to have a look at if you want to book this: Location is 25 minutes from the centre by metro and if you like going out then you need to take a cab home, so I prefer the centre. One night I went out until the early mornings and the door was locked and you don’t have a keycard to get in or anything, luckily someone opened after 20 minutes. The people who stayed here didn’t seem like people who wanted to meet other people comparing it to hostels in the centre, since I stayed in the centre for 3 days before this stay. Not something the hostel can do much about but something to keep in mind. Lastly, you can’t stay in the lobby after check out max 30 minutes but then you have to go because of cleaning. A bit strange but every hostel is different of course. Hope this helps to make up your mind :)

A good hostel for one night, if you dont need to be in the center of the city. I stayed here to have a shorter drive to a club, which is a bit further east. Otherwise, there are better hostels in the center of the city for same price/service. Pro: beds with curtains, staff friendly, clean. Con: a bit pricy for the remote location, not as modern as some hostels in city center for same price (I paid 19 EUR/night).
