Love this hotel. So classic and formal. Rooms are small but totally functional. Wait staff are very experienced. They do Galas and corporate meeting very well It’s a big hotel and rooms can be far from meeting rooms. Hotel lobby bar is gorgeous it is always busy. But it closes by midnight.

What a beautiful hotel!! Staff at the lounge (Ari) and The Reign Restaurant (John) were friendly and provided great service. Our room on the 16th floor was incredible! Very clean and comfortable. All the pictures on the level above the lobby show incredible history. Thank you for a great visit

My partner and I stayed over for the weekend in Toronto. We loved the hotel for its 1920s style and it’s magnificent lobby. The queen deluxe room also very well furnished and had a comfortable bed and bathroom. It was just perfect for the purpose of our weekend, very well located right by the beautiful Union station. We’ll come back!

TLDR: Not recommended at all. I wanted to give 0 stars but I figured I’d still give 1 star for the lady who helped me at the front desk after me and my friend waited to check in for almost half an hour. After checking in we realized the unit didn’t have certain features we asked for while axing our reservation. For example, we reserved a deluxe king bed with a tub. It has 1 king bed and no tub at all. We then contacted the front desk and they had us waiting another 20 minutes to send the new keys upstairs. Then both rooms were really cold. So then we asked the front desk to get another towel to keep us warm. Again, waited from 8 pm to 10 pm. Called again. Said sorry because they didn’t have any records of the last phone call?!?! Then the towel was delivered in 5 minutes. Wow, that was quick. The body wash was empty. But soap worked, thank god. We’ve had quite a few traveling experiences both domestic and international. But this is the first time getting a downgrade without knowing. This is outrageous. I don’t know if it is because I don’t carry a posh handbag from Gucci or simply because we were the only Asians in the lobby around that time, but this quality of service is not acceptable in comparison to its insanely expensive prices. The sound was crazy at night. It was not soundproof at all. I could hear anyone passing by my door at any time. Kids screaming, women laughing, high heels, you name it. The facilities were even worse. No fridge. The plugs in the bathroom were loose, so you gotta hold the damn thing the whole time so that it doesn’t fall out while blowing your hair. And buckle up for the crazies thing ever in a high-end hotel: You must pay an extra fee for internet connection. Wow, crazy.
