Recently reopened. There is still some work to do. The staff were friendly. The set ups for tea break was okay but no spoons. Lunch setup and ambience excellent..but hard to get where the plates are for food or dessert. They are hidden underneath or on another table... Otherwise very neat and tidy and well laid out lunch cuisine with food on actual electric heaters and "permanent" labelling on the cooker surface of the food type as opposed to using papers next to the food. This was novel.

Unique, delicious gourmet food plus a hospitable and kind team of staff right from the reception. The foyer was beautifully decorated in a Christmas theme adding a homely, welcoming dazzle. I really enjoyed my experience.

Magnficent Hotel with impressive layout. While having the possibility to see the British style from over 100 ago, you can also feel the modern athmosphere if you are looking for one. Fascinating courtyard with a very nice garden. Not to miss if you will stay in Nairobi.

We stayed at the Fairmont Norfolk at the end of June. The hotel is old world. Very nice rooms and hotel property. I highly suggest booking the seafood night (happens once a month) if you are lucky to be there when it happens. It was great and very inexpensive and they even had live music. The bar staff was so friendly. My neck and back was killing me from the flight so I booked a massage, which was the best I have ever had and booked a second one the next day. My back felt amazing the rest of the trip?
