Room outdated horrible bathroom. When you go away it's supposed to be home away from home. We arrived on 12/30, I was under the weather wirh horrible sinus infection trying to still have fun. To my dismay went to use bathroom ans I looked at bottom of door which looked like water damage, walls had paper missing or patches just horrible. Texted back to someone room unacceptable not moving we had already unpacked and keep in mind I have headache and severe sinus infection. No response so I get in bed to try to rest. In short I refused to move because I am sick and anxiety of covid still amongst us nor was I in any condition to sanitize another room nor have anyone touch my things. In short I told them to comp my one night. They replied free breakfast. Well I said no because each time we had to use bathroom we had to look at unpleasant door and walls and still not moving now headache sinuses and severe dry cough that wouldn't let up thankfully no covid no flu and no rsv. Paul come up sees room condition comes back with 300.00 gift card comparable to one night stay by a few pennies. We decide to have gift card credited to out bill. They loose gift card which I should never have given to any one. Credit less back to card not missing card value and insist not to use original gift card value. Well to my dismay all he'll broke loose. I told them to reverse so call 1 night stay back and just use it fir incidentals. Instead they attemp to charge my bank card which I have turned off. Bank notifies me of attempting charge ask if I authorized. I text back No. Front desk says it's declined rightfully so you don't have authority to charge my card. We argue I have anxiety attack grab my husband and we leave knowing my bank since 2005 once I tell them the story and they see unauthorized attempts to charge my card for this alleged one night stay I already know the bank has my best interest at heart. Long story short inspect your room, make sure all amenities are operable. We weren't notified of broken hottub or light out in steam room. Gym personnel said they should have told us at front desk. Front desk says it's not part of hotel. We'll don't advertise it as such. Hotel was not booked to capacity. Just a horrible experience. Just writing this as I am finally feeling better with antibiotics steroids and prescription cough medicine. Great location need renovation overall.
