The Feather Factory Hotel is nestled in Queens, offering convenient access to lower Manhattan with a 30-minute subway ride. Located near a subway station, it's an ideal choice for travelers seeking a budget-friendly stay. However, the immediate surroundings are industrial, and the path from the subway can be unsettling at night, lacking proper lighting. Rooms at the Feather Factory Hotel are small but maintained in a clean condition. Unfortunately, there's limited storage space for clothes. The main downside is the noise; nightly disturbances include a 2 am garbage pickup and the early morning rumble of cement factory trucks starting at 6 am. The hotel staff is a highlight, known for their friendliness and the quality of daily cleaning services. They aim to make guests' stays as comfortable as possible. One redeeming feature is the rooftop breakfast area, where freshly made breakfast is served, offering a great view. Despite its shortcomings, the Feather Factory Hotel can be a reasonable choice for those looking for a cost-effective stay in Queens, especially if they value a hearty breakfast with a view.

Exceeded expectations. Really enjoyable stay. Front desk staff were remarkably friendly and attentive. The room was simple but clean, and the bed was comfortable. Ignore the negative reviews. Sure it’s not the Plaza, but you’re looking at hotels in Queens close to the airport and filter your results by “lowest price first”…come on y’all…. The area may suggest it best to cab from the city at night. But the morning ride into the city is a quick walk to a train station and maybe 10 minutes before you’re in Manhattan. (Maybe it would’ve been fine to subway back at 2am, just didn’t know the area well enough to do so comfortably) There are also lots of diners within walking distance which was nice for the trip out. We booked here because it was one of the few in our price range, so really didn’t have the highest hopes but Feather Factory was awesome; we will definitely be back.

Really enjoyed our stay here. It is hard to find a place of this quality at this price. The rooms were comfortable, spacious, and clean. The staff was very friendly, and let us keep our luggage in a secure storage for a few hours after we had check our. The location was quiet and safe, with easy transit access to midtown Manhattan.
