Here for two nights in January. Firstly the location, its a little out of the centre but perfect if you are arriving by car. They have parking very close by and it saves you having to drive into the centre. There is a tram stop close by however you can walk into the city centre down the river, its a perfect way to see Florence for the first time. May be a little far out for people wanting a central location. The design of the hotel is a perfect mix of modern and traditional, there's only 9 rooms so you feel like you are in your own little space. They have a beautiful garden and a small pool which I'm sure would be perfect for warmer months. The rooms are designed very nicely although personally I'm not a huge fan of duplexes. There's a small kitchen area and the mini bar was well stocked. The bathroom has malin and goetz products which are available to purchase. We had to ask for another pair of slippers and shower caps. The bathroom could do with more ventilation and it has a fixed shower. Upstairs there's nice seating area and a bed, it's two singles pushed together with two single mattresses and double sheets. The wardrobe was spacious if a little ill suited for the room. The staff were excellent and super friendly. Breakfast very nice in a beautiful building with a log fire. Also a great place to spend an afternoon with a good book. There was no bloody Mary available at breakfast but I think this is a problem with italian hotels in general. I would recommend this hotel if you want something unique just out of the centre where you can relax in an urban oasis.

Service was great but the suite was kind of weird. Bathroom is poorly designed that everytime you shower, you need to put 2 thick towels on the floor to prevent water damage. Caulking around the edges needs some re-do. Toilet bowl is way too small for men. Toilet paper keeps rolling off the holder. towel hangers are installed loose with weak wall anchors. Overall the bathroom feels like a 3 star hotel. the dining table was also squeaky and let loose. The doorknob for the closet was also almost falling off, l snugged it with my bare hand but then I realized they could’ve easily fixed this before my arrival. The bar fridge was not cool enough. The mini kitchenette induction stove and sink was nice and convenient though. There were some tiny ants on the floor but probably nothing can be done when backyard is right across the room. The entrance door had a big window with a white blind over it and you can see the silhouettes inside from the outside. If you care about privacy, ask for upstairs suites. The noise transfer was wild coming from upstairs. Someone was constantly running up and down the stairwell during daytime and the vibration was intense. I didn’t hear it at night time but had it happened during then, I would’ve complained aggressively. Housekeeping was well-done everyday for my 5 nights of staying. The location seems alright. 40mins to duomo sounds doable except there’s not so much to see on the way. close enough to tram station so just tram or call a taxi (avg. 12 euros to city centre) I liked their breakfast buffet despite the lack of hot food. “the living room” is super aesthetic and comfy. Loved the dinner experience. Professional service, delicious meals and wines. Nice and relaxing. Brunch was just okay. It was something locals would rather find exotic. The menu layout forces you to have a beer. I speculate Italians drink beers for brunch. Overall great, and I still recommend Riva lofts but they can improve their suites ( or just the suite I was in) It’s worth the price you pay.

I came to this hotel as an IHG member, I don't think they are used to this, was supposed to receive a gift that never materialized. Really didn't have a lot of interaction with the staff, but they were helpful and courteous when I did, and promptly and easily fixed an issue I had with parking. My room had no windows, which really irritated me, but I dealt with it. I would call this location upscale, not high end, which is what they call themselves, high end, but we agreed that it's just a pedicured place. For the price I paid per night, I would most definitely look at other alternatives. I wish them the best in business but probably not come here again, but my taste is not yours, so try them at your own criteria
