Forest House Hotel

Stayed at the Forest Hotel as we were going to a gig at Alexandra Palace. Lovely little hotel that was close to the venue with loads of shops etc around. The room was clean and warm and the staff were friendly and helpful. Great value for money, would definitely stay again.

Coming to London for the first time we were suppose to stay with friends, but they got sick, so in order to be on the safe side they decide to book us this place. The worst experience ever. You should avoid this place at all cost. The first night we experienced severe banging, screaming, fighting from an nearby room and later the police came in at around 3am at night because there was a person at one of the rooms in the hotel that was going out of control. There was no attendant at hotel from the staff on duty, when was explicitly explained to us when we checked in that there will be someone at the front desk 24 hours. The police was present until 6:30am that morning, so no sleep for us. The windows in our room were not able to lock. The safe was not working… I don’t even want to continue anymore. My wife is pregnant, so there was no way for us to risk it and stay another night. She was exhausted due to no sleep. We had to spend over 5 hours searching for another hotel last minute, pay premiums and spend a lot of time to relocate. We spoke with the manager on duty to refund us the money, but she declined. We requested speaking with her manager. She called him, but we didn’t even had the chance to talk with him and a refund was declined. I believe that every person in our situation will do the same and find a safe place to take their wife, so she and the baby can be safe and be able to sleep and rest. This is a horrible place. We understand that things happen and certain staff are not always in the managment control, but if you can’t provide safe environment the minimum you can do is to issue a refund, so we can find a safe place elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all cost.
