+ Location; very central in Grünerløkka, with good access to public transport and the many restaurants and shops in the area. + Facilities in the bathroom and kitchen are modern. + Apartment was very clean when we arrived. - The noise isolation is absolutely horrendous. We get that the buildings are quite old, but it makes no difference if the windows are open or closed; you will hear everything from the streets below. This, coupled with the fact that there is a courtyard below with very frequent parties (even on weekdays), makes it impossible to sleep at a reasonable time. - The bed in the bedroom was terrible. You can feel the springs when sleeping and it is impossible to sleep in the bed with two people, since every little movement gets amplified by the mattress. - The apartment is not suited for long term stays with more than one person. Although all the basic amenities are there (clothes rack, ironing board, etc.), the kitchen lacks supplies. There is too little cutlery and plates, which makes it very inconvenient if you need to cook all your meals in the apartment. - Smart TV doesn't work; no possibility for AirPlay or casting to the TV. When trying to load the apps, you just get an error. - You have to pay extra if you want cleaning in the apartment, even when staying for longer periods of time. This could be reasonable, since there is a vacuum provided, but there are no other cleaning supplies besides dish soap. It also doesn't really give a hotel-like experience. I would say these apartments work well if you are only staying for a couple nights and/or if you go out every evening and don't mind noise. You might get lucky getting an apartment on the front side of the building, which doesn't face the courtyard. EDIT: for the last week, there have now also been constant construction works going on, starting at 7AM in the morning. We were not notified of this during our stay.

I have tried 3 different locations of the Frogner apartments in Oslo and this is the one I have liked the most. Well located (hipster area), washing machine inside the apartment, good size, fridge with freezer, good bathroom, TV. Grocery store by the corner. Coffee shops, bars, restaurants nearby and a lake just in the backyard plus couple of parks around. I recommend it.

We are living in Helgesens Gate for over 6 weeks, it is overall okay, but comes with many struggles. Many a times there is no hot water in the shower in the mornings. We pay for cleaning once in a while, but they dont even replace small bottles of soap or shampoo, the Oven hardly works, the key to the doors dont work and I am calling support all the time, There is no lock on the bathroom door, many small things that are frustrating for a long term stay.
