I have no word to describe our experience. It was for our honeymoon, we went there last year and we still speak about it all the time!!! I just have no words to describe it. It was magical. Our guide was AWESOME and everything else! If you go for your honeymoon, don’t even hesitate, you’ll have memories for life!

Governors Il Moran Camp: Wow! While I knew we were going to be in a luxury tent, instead of a house, the amount of detail that went into the camp to provide exceptional customer service and amenities went above and beyond what we were expecting. We partook in spa treatments directly in our tents, and had wildlife walking right in front of our tent which was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Being personal guests of the manager was truly luxury at its best. We are so thankful we were upgraded to Il Moran Camp instead of staying at Little Governors Camp. The food, service, experience, everything was really great. We met some lovely couples while at Il Moran camp, and it was really nice to have that social aspect after coming from Ol Pejeta where it was only the two of us the entire time. Governors Camp Collection - Hot Air Balloon: Soaring above the Masai Mara with Governors Camp Collection was certainly the highlight of our trip. Viewing the magnificent surroundings from the air gave our Safari honeymoon that extra bit of "luxury" experience we were hoping for and we LOVED it! Highly recommend 10 out of 10. The Champagne breakfast afterwards was truly amazing. Great Migration: We could not have timed our trip better! After our Hot Air Balloon ride, we drove straight to the Mara River where the wildebeests were planning to cross. Waited 10 minutes and saw the migration! How remarkable.

Simply, the most wonderful place in the Masai Mara. We had the most incredible time in Il Moran and felt truly welcomed by all the staff, from the manager, to the waiters, the porters that looked after us during rhe night, to the guy that brought us coffee for the wake up call. It is an incredible place with stunning views onto the river and the hippos, truly luxurious setting, the rooms had all the little details you can imagine, especially considering yoj are in a tent! The food is delicious and very varied, with choices for everyone and feels great after a long day in the Masai Mara. We were lucky enough to have Paul as our guide and his knowledge of the wildlife, smile and energy made our trip. All in all, our time at Il Moran was unforgettable and we hope to come back one day.

Total luxury in the Masai Mara! Il Moran is by far the most luxurious camp in the entire Masai Mara (take it from someone who has been on 30+ game drives and has stayed at 10+ camps spanning the Masai Mara and the conservancies). The tents are lavishly decorated with amazing views of the river and in each tent there is a reverse osmosis filter. The showers are excellent with plenty of hot water and the property does an excellent job with conservation efforts. While the accommodation was luxurious, the best part of Il Moran is the decadent food and incredible staff members! Every single meal- whether it was a bush breakfast, or dinner at the camp, was meticulously prepared and served...and simply delicious! It was such an honor to meet Chef Lilian, the mastermind behind all of the delicious food, and Chef Lilian even went as far as to offer our family food options that were not even on the menu. Also, it was my dad's birthday one night and with such short notice, a beautiful and delicious chocolate cake was served after dinner! What an unforgettable memory that will forever be engrained in our hearts. We sincerely appreciated that kind gesture and our compliments to Chef Lilian and her wonderful kitchen staff. Jackson is also a huge asset to Il Moran and we loved seeing his smiling face everyday at lunch and dinner. Jackson truly went out of his way to make sure our family was always taken care of and comfortable. Anne was another individual who made our trip wonderful, and who made the best Dawa drinks! Thank you Anne for taking such good care of us while we were there, you made our trip even better. Back to the food- every meal began with a scrumptious appetizer (typically soup), and we loved the variety of options for the entrees. The food was always served promptly and was divine. The desserts were so delicious and the presentation of the desserts was very unique and elegant. We would also like to thank Philip, who welcomed us upon arrival and contributed to our lovely stay. Philip keeps the camp running smoothly and it was a pleasure chatting with him and sharing stories of our game drives. Whether it is your first time in the Masai Mara, or your 100th, please make sure to stay at Il Moran for the perfect luxury safari holiday!

My husband and I were so very sad to leave the Il Moran Camp after a 3-day visit—we just loved it so much! There's no comparison to the abundance on animal life on the Masai Mara during the great wildebeest migration, and Governor's Camp knows how to do it right. The food is excellent, luxury tents beautifully situated on the shore of the river, and service impeccable. We also took a hot air balloon ride during sunrise, which will be a life highlight. Certainly one of the top hotels I would recommend anywhere around the world!
