I had a disappointing experience at Grand Hallmark Hotel as I encountered a cockroach in my room while trying to sleep. Despite the hotel's reputation, this issue seriously affected my stay, and I expected better cleanliness standards When I entered the room there was dead cockroach on the floor then I thought maybe it's normal. And then when I was sleeping I felt some thing on my leg then i went to on the light to check and it's a cockroach. Then there's like the body parts of a cockroach like it's leg its body and stuff under the bed. You can't really blame the stuff and all but this is just really the hotel management. What you saw online like the picture so nice is all fake. The real room is so run down. The breakfast was meh, I understand for the price like this I can't expect much but I've stayed other hotel price similar is much more better. During this stay I really don't enjoy or sleep well because the bed is hard and squeaky really hard to sleep. You might not know when you're asleep something crawling into your mouth. So I hope this review helps people to think twice before booking this hotel.

Not the best of experiences. Yes agree you get what you paid for. However at least reception could be more professional when attending to guests. Reception was not attentive and somehow rude by raising his voice. Checked out next day to find a better hotel. The area was good though although a bit far from centre, convenient to get food even during wee hours, nearby banks etc. Hotel Breakfast was fine.

Not bad value for the price. There was some long hair from a previous guest when I moved into my room. The hallways have a mouldy smell and there was an old man on the staff who tried to take a picture of me topless when I came back from my run. Other than that, all good!

I recently stayed at this hotel, and while the staff were indeed friendly, my overall experience was far from satisfactory. I must emphasize that what you see online is not what you get in reality. First and foremost, the condition of the bedrooms was abysmal. They were shockingly dirty and nothing like the pristine images displayed on their website. The level of cleanliness was appalling, with yellow stains on the bedsheets and dust accumulating in every corner of the room. This lack of hygiene made us hesitant to use any of the hotel's amenities, as we couldn't trust their cleanliness. To make matters worse, the air conditioning in our room was non-functional, and it felt like we were suffocating in a stuffy, hot environment throughout our stay. This discomfort led to incessant sweating, making our nights extremely unpleasant. The breakfast offered at this establishment was equally disappointing. Contrary to the promised variety, the selection was extremely limited, with only around 10-15 items to choose from. The quality of the food was subpar, and we left each morning feeling unsatisfied and disappointed. In conclusion, while the staff's friendliness was a redeeming factor, it did not compensate for the numerous issues we encountered during our stay. The misleading online representation of the rooms, coupled with their actual filthy state, the malfunctioning air conditioning, and the lackluster breakfast, make it impossible for me to recommend this hotel to anyone. It's essential for future guests to be aware that the reality of this establishment falls far short of the expectations set by its online presence.

I see a lot of complaints about some smell - I agree but working in construction industry myself, I can tell you exactly what the problem is - your plumbing was installed without a u-shaped trap pipe right next to the floor trap. Without it, the drain smell is not stopped from going into the room. You fix that, you fix the smell problem. The rest is fine - the breakfast needs nasi lemak - more importantly, you need to add eggs to your breakfast menu. Good luck.
