We are really satisfied with this hotel. Rooms are clean and the hotel staff, from front desk, concierge, management, security, food staff, all made this stay pleasant. Thank you to the engineer who lent us a screw driver so my son could open a battery bay. We enjoyed the restaurant, Cure, and upstairs club lounge. Starbucks and FedEx are both conveniently located in the building. I've recommended this hotel to my colleagues visiting our DC office. Close proximity to museums and federal buildings make this hotel a must. It is less than a month and my wife wants to return to DC. We will return back to this hotel when we visit DC again.

The Grand Hyatt is a nice hotel. Nice location, good restaurants nearby, well appointed. Even the staff seem very friendly. So, why the low rating? Well, it feels like my eyes are the only thing that did not get gouged here. This is how it went: I arrived early, and as I have done many times before, I asked if a room might be available. Most hotels will give you a room if one is available. First, come, first served. No actual cost to the hotel. Here, at the Grand Hyatt, you may pay for the privilege to be put on a list and given a room if one becomes available. Again, no actual cost to the hotel, but clearly an opportunistic effort to make a few extra bucks for doing absolutely nothing. Fine, I sat in the lobby until 4 PM and got a room. Now, it’s time to go home. My flight is not until late in the day, so, I do want most of us to do, and asked if a late checkout might be available. Lo and behold, the hotel graciously offers me a “late” check out at noon, and then offers to charge me $25 per hour there after. Seriously? Another effort to make money for doing absolutely nothing. I do not mind paying for a nice hotel. I don’t mind paying for the quality of service, good food, nice features. I really do object, however, to paying anyone for absolutely nothing. Is it enough to make me want to stay elsewhere? Oh, yes. I have seen the last of the Grand Hyatt.

Room was big enough and had everything I needed. The location was great since it is right next to China town and close to all the tourist spots. Has Starbucks reserve in the hotel which is another plus! Also loved the French restaurant in the hotel. Beautiful hotel
