Outstanding customer service, with friendly and cooperative staff. Situated in an excellent neighborhood, the hotel's surroundings are protected by security guards. Rooms are spacious and very clean. A bit expensive.

The location of the hotel is very good. The staff are extra nice. The cafe at the lobby is awesome! The rooms are spacious and clean. I had a problem with the laundry service. I requested on Thursday night and just received Sunday night after I called 3 times asking the whereabouts. They would say they would check on it and never called back. The air-conditioner would not stay cold during the night which made some nights hard to sleep. Also, when requesting someone to clean the room, we left the towels on the floor so they would change them, and they did not change the towels and they hung the robe inside the shower which was wet. If it wasn't for those problems, I would have given 10. Though I would stay there again.

I always stay at the Grand Mercure Vila Olímpia Hotel in my trips to São Paulo and that happens frequently. I had a problems with my reservation upon my arrival and the hotel staff was very unprofessional in dealing with the issue. The employee who took care of my check in, which occurred late in the evening, told me that he would pass my caso on to the morning team but when I went to the front desk the next morning no one was aware of the problem. The hotel took advantage of my "fragile" situation and I was charged an obscene price for my stay. I was forced to change hotels the next day. Not the type of problem I ever expected to encounter in an Accor hotel, especially as an ALL Gold Member, soon to become Platinum.
